Ovalman - Very disappointed that the Tripods series was abandoned after the 2nd series. They've abandoned quite a few sci fi series in mid stream. Very frustrating especially for sci fi geeks like me. More recently, The Dome, again abandoned due to falling viewing figures I suppose.
Also, that TV series where the aliens dragged their dying planet to orbit the earth ... and then left it there! Most frustrating! |

Was a shame, the third book, the pool of fire is probably the best of the original trilogy. Have never read the added story When the tripods came, would be good to see the whole lot re made, as long as it's not done in the USA (cough, childhoods end). I'd say it's prime for today's 'boxset' generation. |

I received One Summer the other day starring a young David Morrissey, I've not seen it since it was first broadcast 30 years ago.
