Felix cat food you used to get 48 pouches for around a tenner. Then it went to 44 and now it's 40. Amazingly the box that holds them is still the same size.

same as the currency situation. The pound was overvalued for years and had been on a downward trend (market correction) trend v the USD for a long time before Brexit.

entry to common market was conditional on us introducing it. Now running at 20 percent I do believe. A huge con. An even bigger con is you have to calculate it and collect it for the government. The rules etc around it are draconian. |

bread up by 50 percent since 2004, rice 60 percent. butter 13 percent, margarine 70 percent?.
meat by 50 percent. quote from a baker in 2008 - I'm frugal. I've watched the cost of flour go up 50% in less than a year. I'm now paying 30¢ a pound (50 lb bag of enriched bleached bread flour from Costco $14.99) it's went up by more since 2008. |
