Drinking? Do i need help?

Yeah basically drink until i'm drunk and sleepy.
Don't really want to give it up though as most of my socialising involves drinking with friends/on dates

As long as your still eating and not fading away then not that bad imo

Also what % are the beers ?

Beer van protect you from heart disease but maybe not 14 pints a night ( 12 bottles maybe )

5% better than weaker also imo as you would end up drinking more 4% than 5%

Get on the Brewdog 5.5 6.5% small cans and not as full of junk as some gassed up beers

Also thy have promised to never sell out to the bigger companies so quality should stay FOR NOW

My view is that 8 or more Yes answers means you need to seek help, not that I'm an expert on this

You have an addiction/habit, call it what you want...because if you can't have night off then you are an addict, simples.

I used to drink heavily every night and would have described myself as a functional alcoholic in a senior position, nobody knew how much I drank as I was never late, never hungover and did a good job. Only thing is it wiped me out for the weekend! Then a just slept..Still drink but a really concerted cut back and not at all during the week. Saves £££s and my liver because like you I'm not immortal

Plenty fruit tastes might help the old 5 a day

Never been rough of them like i am of other beers like Stella headaches

Never been a coffee or red bull man. I'll quite happily drink tea or squash throughout the day.
Yeah im still relatively young with no misses and no kids(been dodging bullets for years)
so not mush else to do other than drink and gamble when not at work

When ive been the doctors lately they never mention drink ( a lot of doctors will drink wine daily )

They asked me if i touch energy drink and i said no which is true

Don't drive in the mornings so no problem there. Was texting my dad when in the shop so totally forgot to ask
for brewdog. Being a villa fan is not helping my drinking right now
Not eating as much as i used to either as im usually bloated the next day so not very hungry

mind you i cant eat anything after 3-4 days so if your every night then be hard to eat

It's a fair amount, particularly if it's every night. I would imagine you're developing a (un?)healthy tolerance as well.

You seem to suggest you might be using it as a crutch, which could form the start of a problem. You should probably try and address that rather than the drinking.

I do do manual work so plenty of sweating it out the next day. Would'nt drink during the day chaser.
Dstyle yeah thats something i need to look at but its filling the void/time of having no misses/kids.

I drink quite a bit but not every night

When i do its knock out never just for a few

If you can go to work and get home at 33 have 10 beers or so i say that's no problem

In the 90s you would have been an average drinker

Ive seen people guzzle 3-4 cans red bull in an hour to keep them going

OR them say i need a caffeine fi x

You like a few beers they like fully caffeine drinks from Star Bucks and wherever

The speed in which i drink is also very quick.
I do enjoy a beer so i dont want to quit but dont want it getting out of hand though

I'd suggest you make sure you have 2 days a week without alcohol.

On the other 5 days, BrewDog Elvis Juice is the dog bollox.  6.2% though, so it won't keep you sober.

BrewDog Dead Pony club worth a try and only about 3.8%.  You might find you drink less of these cans.

my uncle who was an alcoholic. said his boss was in trouble, he'd stopped adding water to his daily drinks. You need to set a level. then very slowly dial it back over months.
As a non drinker with family who were heavy drinkers I've seen it go crazy wrong when they stop dead. Softly softly catchy monkey. cold turkey is fine if you want to seize.

1.8x11x7 = 138 units a week. What could possibly go wrong!
