The actual message is true though since 2010 the numbers of police have been cut by 20 thousand , so much for the tory lie about being the party of law and order , but no people would rather attack somebody who has made a mistake , the utter hypocrisy of the Establishment and its messengers in full flow.

Very good Kit Kat!!

Apparently the true cost of 10k Plod is way, way above £80m given it takes 13k to train them. Then there's equipment etc.

Is there ANY Labour supporter who thinks this woman is an asset to the Labour Party, and a valuable contributor to public life?

Jeremy Corbyn obviously does, the country needs the BBC to use her high profile more during the election run in ! No doubt she will end up in the House of Lords as Jezza's payoff when he has to stand down in July.

smell a rat here somewhere, even before flabbott flunked her figures there,d be a sky operation to rubbish the policy,

on paper there surely isnt even a hedge fund manager that could argue that stopping a cut to capital gains tax to fund police numbedrs isnt a good idea, yet sky were questioning abbott as though a perfectly sensible policy was bonkers

Politics now is all about image and soundbites  all a product of Thatcher Spiv culture

Haven't read whole thread but this can't go unchallenged.

Tony Blair introduced this country to spin, cliche, soundbite, key word politics and it was the labour supporters that fell for it and voted him in.

No matter what they profess now about Blair, they voted him in and are responsible for what happened afterwards

true police numbers have been cut but more efficient use of the police budget as seen crime reduce drastically, if an automatic jail sentence was introduced for the first offence of carrying a knife instead of the second then that would make a difference.

i thought the funniest bit was when her feminist brainwashing kicked in,even though she was up to her neck in it with the figures & ferrari was querying her request for 250,000 more policemen she still needed to blurt out "& women",as though that was more important than the ridiculous figure she'd just spouted.

Abbott is not only intellectually lacking she is also arrogant, which is a very dangerous combination in one seeking high office. Her incompetence in this interview was obvious, but her arrogance would not allow her to do what any reasonable person would have done - admit at the outset that they did not know - so instead she embarked on an ever-worsening string of outright guesses which quickly descended into farce. One of the most embarrassing political interviews ever.

Yes she is a disaster in waiting and yes the interview with Ferrari was abject beyond words, however yesterday, Theresa May's 'peeps' locked a load of journalists in a room to prevent them asking her questions about her parties policies. Richard Graham (Tory MP) claimed some permanent degenerative diseases 'got better' - yet was unable to give a single example of this miracle. There's also this allegation about HSBC giving dirty money to the Conservative Party coffers but, oh just go back to having your news agenda set for you....I'm sure it'll all work out just fine.

As for the truth

Fully over-headed cost of a Met Police officer is £75,883 pa. Mersey Police is £68,046 pa.

Labour's 10,000 extra bobbies costs 680-758 million pa.

By:

the message was lost yesterday because dianne abbott walked into lbc studios not knowing her **** from her elbow, not because of any conspiracy.if you have a good message present it properly,no ones fault apart from her own.

The state of the Labour Party is lamentable when people like Abbot are positions of authority. I haven't even heard the interview yet but heard her defending it or trying to.

There is no money for what we need...decent houses, decent jobs, a decent Health Service, decent schools. Where is Labour going to find the money?

Here are some other questions...why do we need Trust's, why can't we Double Irish our wages? why doesn't the Tax Man come to lunch with us to discuss how much we decide to pay in tax? How can someone's wife live in Monaco and yet receive all his wages tax free? Why didn't the Government use Tax Payers money to bail us out of credit card debt? Why did the Government bail out rich people who lent money to corrupt Governments like Greece?

The fact is the real mug is not Dianne Abbott. It is us. We are here to serve the rich and powerful and do nothing and let people like Dianne Abbott represent us. This really has to stop if we are to be nothing more than serfs.

There is no money for us and our needs because the rich are taking more and more of it.

That is the real crime WD, the quality of candidates is abysmal and allows for parties to promote members based on their readiness to join in rather than any spurious claims to ability and competence.
