Forgot to say, this isn't for me (I'm strictly mp3 player and vinyls), its for the teenager so streaming is the only way to listen to music, apparently
![]() So, I had a look a those links. most of those alternatives (like Google) are paid subscriptions (£10 or more per month). Others are crappy radio services or services full of cover versions not originals. Guess there's nothing better than Spotify then, as far as streaming goes. ![]() |

I thought there was a free version of Spotify but with ads?

9.99 a month spotify is the dog's bollxxks nothing is in the same stratosphere inmvho
|

By:
Deezer is what you are looking for, ad supported about 75 million songs vs 300 million Spotify..still plenty.
Considering we used to pay £12.99 for an album back in the days before the digital era £9.99 is nothing at all! |

Isn't Spotify free but with a few ads? £10 a month is cheap though. Why do people think that musicians shouldn't be paid? No-body else will work for nothing.
|

By:
I don't consider £10 per month cheap, that half the cost of a mobile phone contract
![]() I ain't paying a tenner for that. |

Then don't. End of.

You get a free subscription for Google Music with Amazon Prime. If so, that could be an alternative especially if you buy things from Amazon.

I'm not sure someone who thinks £10 a month is a lot of money should be on a gambling forum.

By:
£10 for this £10 for that
How many £10s can we spend before we think waste of money We could signup to book clubs its only £10 a month but would you ? |

I've never paid for listening to music on Spotify. It's free if one is prepared to listen to the occasional advert.

I happily pay the £10 fee for Spotify Premium, simply for no ads and better sound quality. I don't store, I simply play on request from my desktop to my Hi-Fi.
Not sure this is up to date but here is an advert......... QUOTE... FREE On-demand, ad-supported access to the Spotify catalog on your computer and tablet. Ad-supported, shuffle-only access on compatible mobile devices. PREMIUM Unlimited high-quality streaming access to over 30 million songs. Play music without an internet connection. Travel abroad with your music. Use Connect to play Spotify through your speaker, TV, and car. No ad interruption. UNQUOTE. |
