Screaming From Beneath The Waves has always struck me as clever/knowledgeable.

There's a few who work out these complicated maths equations too, (I can't think of their names)so I doth my cap to them. Although if you've studied it, then it's not exactly rocket science to them!

practice makes perfect .

its  folk say to me  'i wish i was really good with numbers ,and able to  multiply/subtract/divide in a few seconds'

i replied  'you could if you practiced enough ,it's just that your brain can't be motivated /bothered'.   Most folks brains switch off unless something entertains them or there is sufficient short term reward . So those who are really good at complex written tasks /exams are those who are switched on/motivated and  not necessarily 'clever'.    Although a complete idiot would struggle however motivated .

I can multiply/subtract/divide in a few seconds. All these silly equations they do nowadays is nothing more than a load of bollox imo.

Who is the cleverest?

By definition if you're a regular on Chit Chat you ain't gonna be that smart.

Its a bit like a best looking Gargoyle contest.

Now if it was the dullest most predictable you would be spoilt for choice.

That's the first time I've been nominated for anything, so thank you Callisto-moon.

An impressive string of letters, Dr Slicer. Is that a license to charge in guineas?

We're looking for the forum's cleverest, not the forum's most entertaining, most educated or even most friendly. In effect, it's a brains before beauty contest.

We have to vote for the cleverest, regardless of political opinion, cooking ability or police record.

It is my duty to inform you that Studyform wins by a country mile.

My natural insecurity makes for an assumption (not that I like to assume things) that you're just joshing, Gallivanter.
I have to inform you though - and you can ask anyone on here who knows me, I know quite a few porum users - I am one of the friendliest people you could wish to meet.
OK - I'll play.

Bodil is without question the cleverest current forum user, for me.
Orioles another contender, but isn't seen here these days.

being able to count must be a prerequisite for a  cleverest contestant imvho

Bodil's enjoying a late surge. Who would have thought it at his time of life?

I'm not familiar with bodil's post at all but I think both Screaming and Foinovon are on a similar intellect level to the shocking omission of Dstyle. Zorro is bright but not sure he is willing to acknowledge scientific fact so just behind.

TheNorfolkMafia, has been on the telly, on quizzes and that!

Mind you, the police were quizzing him on Crimewatch (formerly Crimewatch UK)!
