LA times had a story about the "truthers" claims. http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-sandy-hook-conspiracy-20170203-story.html Those who had their children murdered say they were real humans who died. Those living thousands of miles away claim they were child actors. Difficult to know who to believe - one account is backed up by many witnesses who said they saw dead children, signed death certificates , claim they gave birth to a child. The other side has a "motive" of how the government wants to introduce gun control, and some photos. Who should we believe? We all know how good 8 year old children are at keeping secrets so no chance of these "actors" talking. |

It begs the obvious question: What is so dangerous about Fetzer's book that Amazon.com must banish it from retail?
Perhaps 90% of Americans would take one look at the title and consider the book to be a complete joke from the start. They'd call it "loony conspiracy theory" material and wouldn't give it a second thought. So why bother banning it? Or is the book so compelling that it runs the risk of making "believers" out of former skeptics? If "Nobody Died at Sandy Hook" is filled with complete nonsense, then why risk making it a sensation from the censorship angle alone? Amazon.com sells all sorts of books filled with complete nonsense, including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition: DSM-5. If a book's factual basis is the determining factor for whether it should be carried by the online retailer, then half of Amazon.com's inventory must now be reviewed and possibly pulled. Clearly, something in "Nobody Died at Sandy Hook" has the powers that be so frightened that they are desperately trying to memory hole the book. |

I often feel things are not as they first appear but then i think it would be virtually impossible to stop one of the crisis actors going rogue and telling the truth.

Not really breadnbutter- I have found that many conspiracy theorists are also holocaust deniers and was just asking if Make my hay was also one. We have had them on here before btw. Pizzagate (dems accused of running pedo ring) was just showing an example at what can happen when people like Jones help spread these false stories. Some people are so determined that the government must be doing something nefarious all the time they will just lap this stuff up.

Hi HH - thank you for your interesting questions. I think I can answer them all by just saying that if I see a story in the news which doesn't look right then I'll look into it a bit more and come to my own verdict, after looking at the facts. Which I think everybody should do rather than just excepting what they're being told. Is that so bad?

Looking in to stories further is not the issue for me. Where do you go to check on the 'facts' is it just places like infowars or do you look to media from different areas of the political spectrum? Also, you didn't really answer the holocaust question.

HH I don't check my facts with infowars, usually I look at film clips of the incident, check time of events, look at interviews with the witnesses.
I would have thought the holocaust happened, not 100% certain though. |

Some conspiracy theories probably are true, not this one though IMO. I think the trouble is the more outlandish claims tarnish other events that really should be questioned but people are afraid of being labelled a "loony conspiracy theorist" A more interesting thread might be to list all the well known conspiracy theories and see who believes what.
