How talented is Jools Holland???

He's good. In fact he is nearly as good as Ben Waters.

genius on the piano, and very well respected in the music industry, hence how he manages to tempt some big acts to his show.

Remember him guesting with an act once and they were playing the track in a different key - he just switched without a moments hesitation. That takes a bit of doing.

His influence was peripheral to the success of Squeeze.

He teamed up with Tom Jones to record an album of contemporary takes on old Blues numbers. The thing tanked.

After thirty years in front of a TV camera he STILL looks like it's his first time there, umming and ahhing away like a spazz.

The question is: does Jools Holland have ANY discernible talent or just a bunch of compromising pictures of producers and commissioning agents?

It's true, as bad as Tanya Stevenson and I can't watch his shows because of it.

But, to be fair to rtb he is feckin useless as a presenter.  Still feckin useless.  And, he used to be even worse.

not particularly talented, can't write a song. To write a really good pop song is the most difficult thing.

Thousands of people can play the piano, that doesn't interest me.
