Never had any technical problems with it as long as my broadband connection was stable. I find it easy to use, decent interface etc. Just very thin on content. Thats about to change so they say.
Netflix has way more content and more of the stuff I watch but can be a pain to find something you want to watch. Endless scrolling right and down. Have they never heard of a SEARCH function FFS
Amazon Prime is only good for scouting new stuff, which you then watch somewhere else, for free

I have never had any problems with iPlayer. I download anything I want to watch onto my iPad then watch it on my TV through my Apple TV box.
Brilliant quality picture. Things do take an age to download tho', which is a bit of a pain.
I don't have Netflix or Amazon Prime so can't compare.
