Gun found in the Audi Who put it there? |
By:
A chap simply can't go around doing one's trading without a hail of bullets coming in his direction.
I do hope this does not have repercussions for football and horse racing trading?? |

fool proof Gun found in the Audi Who put it there? Do you think it was planted? Why even ask? Surely this is one less drug dealer polluting our streets. |
By:
Dealing in guns ? It would be long odds on that he might have supplied a jihadi with guns if that was asked of him. Good riddance.

It is called street cleaning.

Gun found in the Audi
Who put it there? Wrong question imo. Clearly the guy is a wrong'un but was he pointing the gun at the police or even holding it when he was shot? |
By:
Oh the speculation that goes on by those without the full evidence..
By:
Wrong question imo. Clearly the guy is a wrong'un but was he pointing the gun at the police or even holding it when he was shot?
Why? Wouldn't matter the actual circumstances. The police only need to have a belief that their own lives are in danger to open fire. |
By:
Let's wait till the independent police report comes out and act sensibly.
By:
Why? What I've posted is a generalisation and not specific to this case.
By:
You need the full facts
By:
i think what aka has posted is correct without guessing what has actually happened

We will find out when the I.P.C report comes out

Don't you understand the meaning of speculation?

By:
Yes, fully but what I posted was a fact and not speculation.

the "gun found in car" was an interesting choice of words
why not "he fired at us", or "he pointed a gun at us", or "he reached for a gun"? if they can shoot when they like they will shoot. the deceased may be a wrong un as some suggest but is it now the wild west? |
By:
we should applaud there's now one less 'wrong un' to worry about

By:
Street cleaning.

gangs lose their leaders and find new ones
next one finds it easier to recruit new members because of perceived injustice others seek to benefit from a vacancy meanwhile trainspotting 2 will be released more drugs vicar ? |
By:
Drugs have to made legal or gangs will become more dangerous and more powerful.
It is obvious, the so-called war on drugs is not winnable. |
By:
it looks more that way every year leopard
By:
What else will the community view as innocent. Who else will they invite into their fold. Or are they already there?
If they view a gun toting drug supplier as good and innocent, what are their views on other violent anti social groups who actually follow the same pursuasion as their community. I think we already know the answer to that one. |

Read the rules on when a police officer can open fire. Part of it reads (not verbatim) that if he feels his, his colleagues or members of the public's lifes are in danger he can shoot. With security info that the man was armed and dangerous I'd guess that any movement might trigger a response (no pun intended). |
By:
I would hate to be a police officer in that situation, there are even violent places in this country where they can punch police horses when things do not go their way !!
By:
dogs as well, i hear
By:
If a police oficer feels his or other lives are in danger he can shoot ...
.... he will always shoot because his defence is a feeling he had No evidence of danger required, just a feeling. |
By:
Why should they take any chances? I know I wouldn't.
This guy carried a gun and was a drug dealer so why are you bothered about this? One less piece of filth polluting society. |
By:
You play with matches and you get burnt.
You're right, this isn't the wild west. As such we don't expect citizens to be patrolling the streets with guns and ammunition. Are they carrying them to conduct a church choir? Sorry, but with gun crime becoming more prevalent and gangs more dangerous, you cannot go around armed and then the cry foul play if the gunmen are taken out themselves. |
By:
Drug dealer / scumbag gets shot and killed.
The police deserve a medal for wiping him out nice and swiftly and saving other peoples lives. |
By:

Absolutely agree. If a choice is made to carry a loaded gun around in public, then be aware that choice has potential consequences. |

A shame it will have cost millions by the time the hand wringers have done with their enquiries.
