No it isn't. Some companies might make this part of their H&S rules but it isn't the law.

I expect some historian will pinpoint when it went from a safety-net to a Ponzi-scheme.

There is also an additional means test that tops up the pensions of the less wealthy. This additional amount is called the Pension Credit, or Minimum Income Guarantee. Those who qualify are guaranteed a weekly minimum £151 for a single person and £230 for couples.9 Feb 2015

do they really mean they,d like some grant, subsidy ,free labour off the government

They are going to get rid of ZERO hour contracts ( big talking point )

But just offer 12-16 hour contracts ( more than likely ) so it's working for Dole money if your min wage ( no change )

Even go back 10 year no one was obliged to take a job unless it was like 30 hours

Now if you turned down a job doing 2 hours they would be branded a lazy feck

lots of firms like to hire folk on short time as it reduces
NI costs

it can be a big step taking on full time staff as an attempt
to expand, and understandable that some firms are hanging back.

government could easily get on with things

of course if a job needs to be done staff will be hired to
fill vacancy.

imagine any worker in the world been told for every extra £ you earn we,re taking 65p of you, n ever mind the lowest paid and its took ids 10 yrs and billions of quid to come up with this beauty and its still only rolled out to a small minority

imagine paying 98p in the pound of earnings over a certain amount

that was law too ....

getting folk off benefits and into work is a toughie if folk see benefit as
a right , there will be some transitional areas where work will not be rewarded fully

They have 3 people doing one job now in some places

A 40 hour week has become 3 x 12-16 hours in many places

But people still want mass immigration the youngsters leaving school will need to be 25 soon before they are allowed a cent from the dole. The Gov have also spent the pension funds more than likely and need to gte it back by either legalizing weed or punting out more dodgy pills for Doctors to test on unknown victims.

You see in Ireland they have more Tramadol deaths than any other drug

I know plenty people who have or are on this

Smoke with weed gets you fcked though Laugh
