Annie you need to go into Program Files & find the Notes File , first find the poker sites files & open them (it'll be something like (Notes.xt) is it pokerstrs ?
Just save to Documents & like Diva says you can then save it to a memory stick
Then when you set the site back up again , you'll need to go back in & replace the file (just drop it back in) you can have 2 notes files but will need to be named like Notes1 Notes2 Cool

If it's Pokerstars this is the easy way ..

Click HELP?  (Bottom right panel)
Click OPEN MY SETTINGS FOLDER

You'll see Notes.username

Just send to Documents / memory stick

You won't be able to find the File yourself Plain

Just write the notes down on a piece of paper, but try not to get them mixed up with your notes for the milkman. No charge x

get custom firmware and set the router to automatically reboot at say 7am every morning..

also a handy tip is to get cat 5 6 or 7 cables which are interference proof.

Crags, I have been getting blue screens, error screens and lots more beside as well as the broadband problem.

The company I bought it from secondhand thinks that it needs a new hard drive and have sent me one, but I have not put it in yet because of the poker notes problem and my lack of computer expertise.  Also sometimes it works perfectly and I think my troubles are over then it crashes again, just like last night when i was doing well at poker Sad

I can't complain about the pc really, it just cost me £68 with one years guarantee.  I didn't want to spend over £800 on the computer I really want with a big screen until I knew for certain I would continue with poker.  It is my fault I have not put the hard drive in.

Thanks Jockey and Mick for the tips.

It's very easy to change a hard drive, just google your PC model hard drive change and that will show you. Try to save what you need from old hard drive first though as you will be starting from scratch.

Second hand great big good quality LCD monitors are incredibly cheap now on ebay, I couldn't believe it when I looked the other day, loads of them.

Another way of stopping dropouts annie if they start again is perhaps to ask your ISP to increase your allowed signal to noise margin (I think you are ADSL?).
They are always trying to give people the best speeds they can but it can cut the margins a bit thin. They may be able to make your speeds a bit slower but give increased stability. If you aren't streaming films or doing big downloads you wouldn't even likely notice.

When it comes to blue screens is there any pattern? Like does it do it after it's been on for a while like it might be overheating?

Is it a laptop or full size computer? If it's a laptop, tried vaccuming any dust out of the fan outlet? Dust creates heat and overheat causes crashes.

Putting a new harddrive in  .. well that won't do anything without an operating system on it. Do they expect you to isntall windows?
Has it been pre set up in a very similar computer so you can slot it it? If not ...

I think it's a given that Windows will be pre-installed on the new hard drive.
