Why doesn't the thick hypocrite twaat live there then, and while you're at it have a word with the law abiding public who have to put up with crimes committed by those friendly jungle people.

Those pathetic rich hypocrites make my blood boil, I don't give a damn about their worthless lefty drivel. If you're really that concerned live there full time. Thought not, pathetic HYPOCRITE.

Lily Allen is the kind of over-privileged, Grouch-Club inhabiting, platitude sprayer this country sadly specialises in, in these 'post-Diana' times.

Not content with putting vaguely risqué (well, for anyone just this side of a Convent) lyrics over nursery rhyme melodies and have the whole world bringing her off for being 'edgy' and lead hipster of Planet Now, she has to come out with this load of trite, over-emotive bo11ocks.

Why can't anyone just go 'Sit the fk down and shut the fk up Lily, preferably at a Notting Hill dinner party, far, far away from a microphone, a camera and a Wi-Fi signal. Pretty much everyone in the Calais Jungle is a criminal, has committed criminal acts or has given money to a criminal in order to, illegally, get to where they are now. This whole issue is purely a matter for French Law Enforcement and has nothing to do with Britain, except when a UK lorry driver takes a battering off one of these thugs after stopping his cab due the barricades they've put up in the road. If you want to cry piteous crocodile tears and spout sh1te about Britain's moral duty, then talk about the Zataari Refugee Camp in Jordan (a good friend of GB incidentally) where TRUE refugees, who engage with tried and trusted International Law, have made home, this being the first safe haven they reach after leaving Syria - as opposed to trekking across Europe in order to barge their way into a country their exaggerated sense of self-entitlement deems MUST take them, despite all true morality and international law saying otherwise.'

Actually, on second thoughts that's a bit long-winded isn't it?

She'd never stop whingeing long enough to get past 'Sit the fk down and shut the fk up...'

What is it about people like her who think they can speak for the country.
A musical nonentity who only got exposure because of her fathers contacts.

What a sad state of affairs that we've created a society so bitter and twisted that there is no compassion in left in so many people. Lily Allen may be far from perfect but in one thread many of you have proved yourself a lot worse. The ignorance is staggering.

Rogerthebutler has it spot on,these are criminals.

The people donating money, the people providing bikes, the people going there with provisions should be charged with aiding and abetting.

The people in these camps are consistent violent law breakers, none of them should ever be let into Britain under any circumstances.

Sorry but this is wrong.

You have no clue what anyone here is doing, what charities and causes they support or what pressure groups they give time and energy to.

Reactionary emotive mewlings from an over-privileged popstar, giving succour to an overwhelmingly criminal group, whilst sidelining thousands who play by the rules yet receive little or no media / 'sleb spotlighting?

I can think of very little that is worse TBH.

Most of us give to some charity or other. Children dying every minute through lack of water so I choose Wateraid. I would not insist others do the same, but Lily et al would be far better actually saving many lives for a few quid, rather than supporting criminals and thugs who chose to be where they are.

I don't pretend to speak for everyone but I do believe that underneath the bluster and the points-scoring most people in here (as a snapshot of the whole UK) are decent people who will help others if they can

However, we can also smell bullsh1t at 10 paces and it just boils my p1ss more than somewhat when the likes of Lilly Allen wade in with their rinky-dink size sixes and unilaterally declares themselves a representative of the whole of our nation, before coming out with the supremest of bo11ocks.

There are so many foreigners committing crime in this country and she wants to let more in.  You can see how sound her reasoning is.

Lily Allen left school when she was 15.

She went to 13 different schools, and was expelled from several for drinking (obviously under-age) and smoking.

A rounded, well-educated, individual, therefore - thought capable of speaking for Britain ... if you are of similar ilk - or the BBC.

Although Lily has no right to apologise on a nations behalf, she is 100% correct when she blames England and the west for the
troubles. England's greed has caused misery for lands all over the world for hundreds of years

They then have the cheek to complain when the people's lives they have ruined look for refuge.
Maybe if they along with other parts of the West kept their greedy hands to themselves we wouldn't have this 'problem' in the first place.
