Obama has not turned out to be the messiah black America hoped for, in fact the living standards of the black working class has plummeted in the last 8 years. There are polls out there showing Trump's support is as much as 25% among black voters

I genuinely haven't taken any notice of the polls, BB. But, given the statistics that I quoted, from the same source that alun2005 derived his, I'd be a little surprised if the 15% peak of the last 50 years jumped to 25% this time.

I find it very hard to believe that black America has been voting overwhelmingly Democratic for half-a-century, just waiting for Donald Trump to come along and represent their best interests.

its like this, we leave and then we negotiate trade deals. immigration was the major reason people wanted to leave...if they want to muddy the waters on this issue then they will not be following the logic of what the British people want...if they are so deceptive that they will try and pretend this is not so then hold an referendum asking this.
and then again wait for the verdict.

Black Americans, and white Americans, especially the working class have had to suffer directly from the policies of Obama and the democrats over the last 12 years. That is why they want change.

so if she accepts immigration as a condition of brexit the leave voters wont want another vote ?

obama signed up loads of new voters who had never wanted to vote before

big unknown is will they vote again at all this time round

i too would be amazed if trump got 25%

no we leave, that has been decided regardless. thereafter the question is will the tory or labour government bring down immigration is a ruthless and radical way..no they probably won`t and that is why there is no real chance of anything changing. the vote for brexit will be meaningless.
this is the most likely outcome.

That poll apparently says 25%, lfc. I'll set the under/over at 17.5 - how much do you want on overs?

no European power can tell Britain that it must accept immigration as a condition of brexit.

Certainly not suggesting you're making it up. I'm most definitely suggesting those figures have either been massaged or just plain old false.

You can have overs at 17.5 too, if you wish!

Michael you havn`t been listening have you. I have compared black American workers, and white who vote for the policies such as the democrats have pursued as similar to British working classes voting for labour
There are and will vote along tribal and racial and ethnic lines, even when those policies destroy their communities and chances for work etc.

that is why I said that they want change...but they will not vote for it

you have to look below the surface of why people vote, in Britain and Ireland a very large percentage of people will vote, even now, on religious lines...this has been the hidden factor in British politics for 400 years.

In my opinion every black voter in the US should vote for Trump, if they want their own lives to change for the better, they won`t but why not?

Ah, I see. You know them better than they know themselves, I guess.

Can I take it from that you don't fancy a wager?

%age of the black vote. Over/under 17.5.
By:

I would expect it to be below 20%, how much higher do you think it will be?
By:
lfc1971

the is no reason why it shouldn`t be higher, apart from those already mentioned.

that is why I said they want change, but won`t vote for it. I assume you don`t expect over 50% of the black vote to be for Trump?

Don`t worry about that, we may all die laughing if Trump gets in, just to see the look on the faces of the leftists.

lfc why do you persist in the delusion that trump is right wing that is the last thing he is , the only thing he is on the right about is immigration, his muddled economic policies are not conservative in any way
By:
anxious
When: 12 Oct 16 15:49
A lot of his economic policies are similar to  Bernie  Sanders
By:

When: 12 Oct 16 16:04
Indeed his immigration policies may be hard line to the right but a lot of his economic policy is not Conservative,eg in fact he has promised to spend a lot of money on minimum wage for instance , how he will balance the books remains to be seen

You won't be on your own if Trump gets in. I'm one of those leftists and I'll piss meself laughing if the clown gets the gig.

Most on the left were against Hillary to begin with.

His shows, his merchandise. To be checked out by him personally, naturally.

Any word whether he came strolling right in on the transgender contestant he tried barring from Miss Universe? Have the LGBTQIA community brought that one up recently btw?

I've no idea what the I or A represents, after having Googled the Q recently.

I think they should just call themselves the Q community, otherwise in the near future we'll have the hilarious situation of commentators referencing the LGBTQIASDNKORYW community.

I think Clinton is a cert. Trump is right, she is all talk and no action but the voters always fall for it.

I'd love it if the voters sided with trump just to witness the media meltdown. It would be the greatest tv ever.
