So I'm outside at 7:30pm it's dark but still 25 degrees people are wearing shorts etc. Very surreal felt like being abroad.

the family i know from over the estate have just come back for Benidorm and they tell me it was actually 52c all week  ,which puts to sleep the 48c in Greece reported by another family who were over there last week  Laugh

Large parts of northern Spain - Cities such as Bilbao, Santander,Gigon , Vigo, La Corruna etc get either  cooler or/ more cloudy ,much wetter summer conditions than my own part of  the UK .

Forecasters messed up a lot over the few days. Yes they forecast the heat, but those big rain storms caught them out they wasn't expected.

Also in the midlands today it was misty and a cool 16 degrees up until midday when the sun came out, then it heated up. They didn't forecast the mist lasting all morning.

yeah, very good summers here 2/3 times -dry as a bone , i can't get any native plants to grow against my south facing wall as its too flamin hot - will have to get some olive trees there .   ... however  get prepared for November when we all celebrate drizzlemass .

It's 4 months of relentless light grey skies and  misty rain . and its effin dismal Cry

South Devon seems to get the best deal in the winter on these northerly islands  (sun/rain days/warmth ratio )
