You would not say Clare Grogan if you actually met her akabula, a 5 star "don't you know who I am merchant". She was on the same flight as me one morning and wanted to bump someone off of a first class seat when she was booked economy. All the passengers were laughing at her when the steward told her to sit down in her allocated seat, it was hilarious.Laugh A complete and utter wrongun mate.

all told wonderful stories in their own way. Whether they'd get on is another matter.

Steve Marriott - great call. One of the greatest possibly most unsung rock guitarists . Should be mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Jimmy Page , Richie Blackmore , Eric Clapton , Carlos Santana and Hendrix , yet rarely is .
Back in the 90's when I lived in rural Essex Mrs Reynard and myself often visited a picturesque pub called The Axe And Compasses in Arkesden just accross the road from Steve Marriott's cottage . One evening we arrived in the village and saw a blue tarpaulin over the thatched roof of the cottage and assumed there had been a fire but not having heard the news we thought nothing of it only to discover when we got home that he had died . I understood that his body was found in the wardrobe which in his confused state he had mistaken for the bedroom door !

That was a great shame, Reynard. He'd got back to playing small venues and seemed to be really enjoying himself, although apparently he was pretty penniless towards the end. Insisted on cash in hand at the gigs. Supebly talented man, with a better voice than Plant, who he wasn't happy with for copying his interpretation of Whole Lotta Love, a reincarnation of an early 50s Muddy Waters song.

This chat is well worth a listen.

Kenny mann - apparently that video does not exist Sad
Another who told stories in his own way , and still does , is Billy Connelly who along with Ustinov and Williams was one of the main reasons for tuning in to Parkinson on a saturday night straight after MOTD .
However , I'm not sure about Marriott having a better voice than Plant (nobody , in my opinion , has or had a better voice than Plant). I didn't know that he plagiarised Steve Marriott's vocal on Whole Lotta Love . Maybe we should invite Marriott , Plant and Muddy Waters to dinner to discuss the matter over a glass or two of Bourbon and a couple of lines Mischief

That would be great, I'd even settle to be  afly on the wall.

The video must exist, I'm listening to it now. Let me try again. It's in 7 parts, 30 mins in total.
