In truth it's a horrible question.
Imagine your dog v a brief case with 1 million pound in notes. We could quite easily swap that to a very close member of your family v 1 million £ in nice new crispy notes ![]() |

By:
I would pay someone a million pounds to take some family members off my hands.

the dog never falls out with you.you can be in bad form and let an unmerciful roar at him and 10 minutes later he comes over wagging his tail.

Some dogs are female, and some don't have tails, male or female.

In my life as a dog owner, I've sold two dogs. The first sale arrived home the next day under his own steam. The second sale (different dog) was brought back by his new owners within 24 hours. Apparently he farted too much for a posh household.
No money back, no VAT... I've yet to buy a dog and I've had a few. I get given them by owners who, kind and gentle and gentle as they may be, haven't got a Scooby Doo how to train a dog. The two that I sold was to teach them a lesson. I knew they would miss their home. |

I had a double post on the smileys post but....
now one line has gone.....so a mod must be reading this thread.....Hello ![]() |
By:
I had a Jack Russell (from 5 yo to 19 yo).....a great dog.....think it was poisoned by a neighbour for poo-ing on his strip of grass surrounding his property.....he worked at GCHQ..... I think.
...I would never have sold him ! |
By:
( Mum and Dad just used to let him roam free in the village)
By:
That is awful, Leopard. You should have poisoned your neighbour.
By:
Sounds like the dog died of old age to me. Or maybe it was bored to death?
By:
I'm sort of guessing.....he started behaving strangely for no obvious reason.....could have been a brain tumour.
By:
did he look like this
![]() |
By:
But the guy next door was a bit strange.
By:
So he might not have been poisoned?
By:
More dog-like, Bito.

Died in near '76....I only joined Betfair in 2006 !
By:
Could have been dementia.....or mad cow disease as they must have put all kinds of rubbish in dog food in those days.

I no longer keep a dog but all of my dogs were priceless. The last one had his own solicitor! He had been to Crown Court and had been sprung. So when I got him he came with a lead , collar , bowl and lawyer.

nothing wrong with selling your dog if, the home you supply and lifestyle is unsuitable and someone else can give the dog a better life.
dogs don't miss their owners as much as we like to think |
By:
They might not miss you Coachbuster.
By:
And who could blame them?

i love dogs and i would hate to part with a dog unless necessary ,and it's horrible putting a dog down - but dogs adapt very quickly to new surroundings - they are more like children at a new school . although i would like to think dogs missed us a lot - but somehow i think maybe their memories work differently to ours |
By:
thats not saying they don't miss their owners a little - but as soon as the new owner looks after that dog they are the new 'masters'
