Just think we could come up with a scheme where we take your loving pet dog
away & we could replace him/her with a muslim refugee Happy

who'd be up for that, surely humans come first!

We get all sorts of wildlife, as we live on a farm that adjoins a nature reserve and parkland.

I am very disappointed to have never seen a hedgehog Sad

We have 2 eleven year old pooches and can't imagine being without them.

We live in a pretty rural area and our garden is often visited by hedgehogs, squirrels, voles, rabbits, a woodpecker and many other species of birds. Unfortunately the mutts ain't very keen and they chase them all off, except the hedgehogs who manage to fend them off and stand their ground quite wellLaugh

While I would love to have another dog, Ron, it's not possible for me either. Have to content myself feeding the wildlife in my garden. Lots of different birds and I love watching the antics of the squirrels. They usually chase off the smaller birds from the feeding stations but have seen a wood-pigeon stand up to them and of course they steer clear of magpies and jays.

Good stuff Foinavon Happy

had an instance with a wounded crow in the garden a few months back, injured wing
so couldn't fly, felt very sorry for it so aimed some bread in it's direction which
it took, literally the lot and hid it in places in the garden after it could eat
no more, then found a hide out in the garden, after a day or so there was a couple
of Crows doing their up most to kill this wounded crow, quite unbelievable scenes.
but they just could not get to it once it got back in it's hide out.

all a sudden it was gone - don't know whether it was killed or it's wing maybe
repaired - The End

Though soon I think I'll have a real dog. Now my boy has his trach out he wants a dog - not too excited if I'm entirely honest. Just feels like I'll be going from one thing stopping us going anywhere to another - maybe I'll think differently when he/she arrives?

Hank, If you are to have a dog the whole family must be up for it.

Would Hank Jnr be happy with a rabbit? They can make lovely pets my nieces had one he was fantastic.

True story.

The woman down the road was very upset when she lost her dog.

"Put an advert in the local paper", I advised, "It might help".

She thought for a few seconds, looked at me as if I was daft, and replied, "But it can't read"! LaughLaugh

In answer to the initial question, I wouldn't sell my dog if someone offered a billion pounds and I ain't joking. More to life than money.
