I've been to the USA twice i quite like it there compared to other countries
i've been - i didn't really like Miami, thought it was going to be special. sailed out of miami port on the freedom of the seas when it was the biggest in the world.....one fantastic cruise i know off topic ![]() Las Vegas was brilliant - so much more to do than betting. I've not traveled to anywhere out the ordinary - Ibiza Majorca Tunisia Fuerteventura , main land Spain Portugal, Turkey , France as a kid we nicked some bangers the size of a stick of dynamite out a shop...we bought flick knives hoping to get them back but the teachers got wind of this & come up with some story about the coach driver will be sacked, a couple folded & grassed - they chucked the lot in the sea ![]() we was only innocent kids even if we'd got a flick knife back it would have been more like a souvenir / something to look at - to stabbings in them days much |

I've been to Scotland once, was about 14.
They have a lot of space up there, no doubt Sturgeon would be filling that with refugees if she had her way, i hope Scotland realise how lucky they are to still have their country |

Went to Turkey last year and had a great time. Was very much looking to go back but, erm, probably not now.
|
|
By:
Nothing wrong with Turkey I was there 4 weeks ago and I'd go back tomorrow if I had the money.
Best, Prague Czech Republic Worst, Bucharest, Romania spent 4 days there on my own in 1990 just after Cuacescu got shot. I was the only person who spoke English and there were cues for everything. In fairness it was for a footy match when my team played Staeua and I know how things have improved so I won't hold it against the country and I'd go back again. |

Was thinking about bucharest myself. Spent about 4 days there round 2012. Real mixed bag. Got ripped off in the taxi from the airport wasn't a great start. Some truly sad sights of old people destitute on the streets and some streets where building work has started but not gone anywhere. However, the old town is lovely and I had some cracking nights there and I'd be happy to go back.

Best : Thailand
Worst : Turkey. |

Think it would be OK for a weekend nowadays but the time I was there I lived like a king on £10 a day (backpacker) while the rest of the country suffered.
You'd think I was attending a snooker match with all those cues :) *Queues - Chit Chat Spelling Police were slow on that one. |
