Nolf is pretty EUPHORIC at the moment...been high as a kite since the 5th Celtic goal went in. I've sent Bodil some money by Internetwirecashola, as I've commissioned Nolf to do a series of paintings about today's match at Ibrox AKA Castle Greyskull.

i've got the only copy of 'artists and models' in the western world? maybe?
documentary they showed in the eighties about David, Gericault and Engres.

It's a great show, the BBC should show it again?(unless they burned it?)
I've not watched it for ages.

I was watching Brando play Napoleon, in Désirée and they brought up Bernadotte?
I watched a documentary called 'killing the count' on youtube. Count Folke Bernadotte was assassinated last century. He must have been an ancestor? strange to think these families are still up there controlling society today? Rothschild, Bernadotte?

who else is still around?

Nolf's drawing after Scott Sinclair opened the scoring from a pen.

Showdil tied a felt marker to Nolf's right front paw, but other than that, Nolf worked unaided.

Thanks M-D Happy

Nolf is very talented Excited. Didn't he do five green ones on the day?
By:
Velasquez
When: 30 Apr 17 22:50
Well, we'll have to see about that, won't we? My initial feeling about the matter is that Nolf is super-prolific...like a CANINE PICASSO...Excited

Nolf is interesting. Given the right management  he could attain stardom.  Sadly Velasquez is obviously - not - that person. I'm putting his name forward to Damien Hirst's agent. Expect fireworks.

20%?

Even a tithe is only 10!

And what leverage can I get on love??

25% - we all know all artists have been ripped of by this figure.  Do you really think you're better than every ****g French artist since the 1900s including some I cant think of?

There are loads of Czech and Russian jockeys I can't think of either, and I'm better at riding horses than 90% of these robotic, state-sponsored basturts...it's not their fault my jockey career didn't pan out for one reason or t'other. I apportion no blame to them, or to the Soviet Union as was, or even Czechoslovakia pre-Havel.

Art - concentrate on the ****g art. We still have dozens of ****g idiots here. Including me too obviously..
By:

When: 01 May 17 02:36
OF course you are right.

Therefore I wish to correct an earlier mistake to the effect that Nolf's green drawing has nothing to do with Scott USINC - sorry, I'm typing in darkness here -- Sad
By:
Velasquez
When: 01 May 17 02:45
Yes - it could be that you are correct, Bodil.

Therefore I wish to correct an earlier mistake to the effect that Nolf's green drawing has nothing to do with Scott Sinclair's opening goal against Sevco / Rangers on SATURDAY, but is RATHER  a portrait of Cheddary Jeff, as you people will clearly see if you look at it once again...Cheddary Jeff's head is apparent in the head region if you stare at the head closely.

Needless to say, Cheddary Jeff is the forgotten show-mouse of this thread, thanks mainly to Napoleon, Felicia Cranberry, SHOWDIL, bODIL AND the unnamed Czech jockeys.

the art market is just stocks and shares for the mega rich.

the CIA made it a point to create a USA stock portfolio after the second world war.

Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns and Rothko among others were spun into a frenzy by market manipulation by the CIA.

if you buy a painting by an unknown artist at £1000 - the auctioneers look at the past sales as guides to price that artist's future works.

I heard of a story were a man in charge of an art collection bought one artist's work at an elevated price. He got a kick back from the artist. the artist can then sell his work for higher rates to other collections.

Saatchi the great art collector has sold off parts of his collections at times. Dumping an artist's work onto the market. ruining the artist in one stroke. his stock plummeting.

Great art is not a blank wall, a splodge or a abstraction - that's stocks and shares.

Amused myself painting this pretty little madam. It's an extract from a larger painting by a well-known artist. I'm sure most of you will have no trouble guessing which one.
Not quite finished as I will soften some edges and strengthen a few others but thought I would like to bring this thread back up to the top.

Have to admit I just, by sheer coincidence, looked at a Klimt on a Sotheby's website about an hour ago...
By:

When: 10 May 17 21:56
Klimt used oil paint in thin glazes, mine is gouache as usual on A4 paper. Klimt's was much bigger than that.

He was a brilliant artist and did some amazing drawings. I saw a book in Waterstones a few years ago but thought it too expensive. Wished I had bought it now.
