It's My Life, amazing it never even made the top 40 in the UK when released in 1984, how on earth did that happen? did radio 1 ignore it?!!??! the best tune of the 80s imo.

Cheers I don't get it though, now It's My Life is one of the most played songs of the 80s, I was 11 in 1984 and bought Adam Ant etc but if I had heard the song back then I would have bought it, never discovered them till the best of in 1990, by then Hollis and Talk Talk were fast leaving the mainstream with Laughing Stock...and that was it...

I would have loved some more albums like The Colour Of Spring where he mixed the pop with some of the later experimental, but I guess he reached pefection and that was that.

While all the other 80s lot still churn out blandness in 2016...

99% of bands suddenly having a million selling best of would have jumped at the chance to get back in the charts, Mark Hollis total opposite, wonder what he does every day now, such a waste of talent the last 20 years...
