Load of tiny-minded insular jingoistic nonsense from the Jocks - as ever.

The way that the oil price has plummeted since the Scottish Referendum - thus scuppering their plans for self-funding of Scotland from North Sea Oil - is, or would have been, a financially suicidal decision had they got Independence - making the current market reaction to the Brexit decision look like a tea-party.

If the Scots do have a second Independence referendum their tunnel vision feather preening pride will be the death of them.

I only hope that they DO vote for Independence - It would save England a fortune.

- and their cousins from Northern Ireland can go back to the Republic, aswell -
- another massive financial drain on the rest of us.

I asked this question yesterday if Scotland votes to split the union, would they not be totally dependant on the good will of England in order to trade with the rest of the EU.
How are they going to send and recieve goods with the rest of the EU without those goods being driven through England?

It was serious question we are no longer in the EU it is not the same situation as the last Scottish independence referendum.
and by the way I live in Carlisle a split would affect us very hard in my area bothsides of the border.

Ignorant statement. Half the districts in N Ireland voted to leave the EU. The border areas and a couple of parts of Belfast had a majority for Remain, but Leave won comfortably in Antrim and elsewhere in the east.

I think that you'll find that we are still in the EU, it will take about 2 more years until we are finally out (could be longer), so after then Sturgeon may be able to get you your  Scottish independence referendum.
