Been on 6 hrs !

I went in 1981. Great weekend, was very hot, loads of outdoor bars/eating places.No idea what was happening in the race most of the time. Sometime later we found out that a driver had been killed though, which dampened spirits to say the least.

My mate is over there, goes every year.

1981 crash

Been some terrible accidents over the years none worse than the disaster in 1955

Each car has 3 drivers, would be much more entertaining if it was just 1 driver.

I'd not seen that footage of the 1981 crash before. I remember now that a marshal was killed as well.

Looking at it on google, some interesting driver names in that race, including Eddie Jordan, Mark Thatcher, Tiff Needell and Tom Walkinshaw
