I beg you to watch the medal ceremony for the Olympic 800m in Moscow. If you ever need to get Sebastian Newbold Coe's number, watch that.
That said, an utterly phenomenal athlete, almost certainly the best we've had and one of the greatest of all time.
Had great ding dong battles with Steve Ovett at that time alright.
It was a shame they didn't race more often - pretty much only at major championships. I always liked Ovett more, but Coe was just poetry. I remember him running 1.44.56 for the 800m on the way to breaking the 1000m record - which then stood for about 20 years iirc.
