Just listening to Alison's greatest hits and I think shes very underrated compered to all the hype Adele gets. Maybe its my age.

Alison a great singer but prefer Adele. Live, would pick Adele every time.

Adele for me.

Alison for me but then again I'm the wrong side of 40 Blush

I think its a good match up - 2 heavyweights of the music business.

I think it's a close call tbh, Alison probably had stronger
competition at the time would you say? so didn't stand out the way Adele does
Report Mr Spock • February 27, 2016 5:00 PM GMT
Alison had some great hits while in Yazoo if people have forgotten.

I'm on the wrong side of 60, and Adele is miles better than Moyet
Report bigmo • February 27, 2016 5:14 PM GMT
Very close. Like both.
Report Jack Hacksaw • February 27, 2016 6:06 PM GMT
Moyet has slipped a few weight divisions in recent years, and is now 54 years old.

Adele has to be the winner - would pound her into the corner of the Ladies.

Not fit enough to clean Amy winhouses microphone(literally)!!
Report kenny mann • February 27, 2016 9:27 PM GMT
Agreed, and Lady Ga Ga who is several classes above Adele.

Adele slurs her words and strangles her vowels. Only got where she is due to clever marketing.

And she's a foul mouthed bitch!

Amy was outstanding, such a waste of talent. Btw she also ' slurred her words and strangled her vowels ' - as do
/did many great singers.

There's good singers then there's voices that bring a lump to your throat, best I've heard in my lifetime and not even music I would've normally listened to,even jools Holland said one of the greatest voices ever.So much soul and depth living the words and such little effort, more into my band music bit she is the exception in my musical taste...

Whatever happened to Helen Terry?
Report Mr Spock • February 27, 2016 11:35 PM GMT
I don't doubt her ability but only does it in a few songs for me, but music is very personal and thankfully we all like different types.
Report crags • February 27, 2016 11:41 PM GMT
I like both Adele and Alf, for the record.
Report Ron-Russian • February 27, 2016 11:42 PM GMT
I didn't really like her, as above ok in a few songs.

the media liked to sl@g her off when she was alive then become
one of the best singers ever when dead.
Report Mr Spock • February 27, 2016 11:46 PM GMT
I pretty stopped listening to new music after about 98 with the odd exception, just have older stuff on these days.
Report twizzle22 • February 28, 2016 10:18 AM GMT
Adele always sounds as if she's trying to hard...very harsh voice. Not for me..bit like that ginger ponce Ed Sheeran...emperors new clothes and all that.

Both vey talented ...love em both.
Alison Moyet far to good to be a "Pop Singer" ...better suited to Jazz ?
Report Eeternaloptimist • February 28, 2016 3:23 PM GMT
Both excellent. Disappointed with Adele's new album. Very middle of the road.
Report terry mccann • February 28, 2016 6:56 PM GMT
there must be so many unhappy people out there for her to be as popular as she is,
life for living chaps
