think putting such a vote to us is very odd.
they have a get out of jail card.....they have to put eea membership to us as a refferendum or decide themselves. the only difefrence between the eu and eea is farming and fishing decisions. so shouldnt they have put it down as both in the refferendum. with the market having reacted to the possibility of brexit....i smell a big dirty rat. if the eea decision wont be put to us...the odds are the markets recover. job done. |

I fear that Cameron's tactics are working.
|

He is such a lying bstard, cant veto Turkey, he can only vote against them joining.

I so agree with your last line oh so lucky
![]() I live on pensions ![]() I will still vote out though |
|
By:
He is just stating the facts. As far as cuts are concerned pensioners have been fairly sheltered probably because they have lost out through low interest rates. If they vote for a policy that will crush our economy, they can't expect to be immune from the consequences.

he is not stating facts, he is lying about pensions.

Please link the legislation that mandates that the government has to increase the oap by the triple lock?
|
|
By:
I thought the increase was driven by inflation ?
|
|
By:
last year inflation was virtually zero but pensions increased by 2.5% under the triple lock. Also many private pensions only indexed to 2.5% max so a bout of high inflation would decimate them.

By:
AAHHH, pension envy, is this a new phenomena.

Also if interest rates go up and property prices collapse causing another banking crash, the IMF will probably demand a real cut in pensions in return for a bailout.

People are saying we can no longer trade if we come out the EU...that is rubbish
Other countries need to trade with us otherwise how can they sell anything here.? There may a short term shock but we will benefit long term...because we can control immigration we do not have to support so many people. We don't have to pay the EU anything either. It is not risk free...nothing in life is, that is worth having |
|
By:
no one with a brain is saying that ebulgery. Everyone with a brain though understands that if we leave the EU we will face tariff and non-tariff barriers if we don't manage to negotiate some sort of agreement to avoid this.
|
|
By:
But as we already have a trade deficit that is helpful to the EU and are 5th biggest economy in the EU how will future negotiations work out? I'd hope good for us and if not - f*ck them.
|

By:
sorry i believe 5th biggest in the WORLD.

if we leave the EU we will face tariff and non-tariff barriers if we don't manage to negotiate some sort of agreement to avoid this. But we can impose tariff barriers, so anybody hoping to import into this country will have to do a deal, or they will lose out! |

well done BB
I commented on Raheem story on there site and Raheem posted a thanks back ![]() |

some of the big nationals need to run this story, the damage to Cameron will be enormous
|
|
By:
The surveys of voting public have shown the vast majority of the people voting OUT are elderly.
So what does Cameron do ? Comes up with the statement that Pensions will be reduced if we exit Europe. Cynical, obvious, bullshlt. |

So you trust Dave who once said he would pave the road from Ankara to Brussels ?
|
|
By:
that's where you're wrong dave as the story would tell you. Secret papers have been leaked in Brussels confirming Cameron has agreed to issue Turkey with 1 million travel visas if we vote remain, Turkey have insisted on this concession for their continued help with the migrant crisis.

Most people old enough to remember Black Wednesday, when the clever ba$tards in Europe dreamt up the ERM as a forerunner to the Euro currency, we got royally fcked by a Hungarian born American currency trader, within panicked filled hours interest rates went up to 12% then up again to 15% then back to 12, finally settling at 10%.
Historians widely agree that although painful it was the best thing to happen to the country, and within 5 years the tories were able to hand over a greatly improved, strong economy to Blair/Brown and we all know what those 2 knobheeds did with it. The point is we have lived through a few recessions since the 80s, dopey Dave doesn't understand he can't frighten us. He could not be more wrong and out of touch, |

In all probability some agreement on goods will be reached but the UK will be frozen out of the services market, most of our economy. I am not on expert. But if we have exactly the same terms with all countries in Europe we have now..no mutual tariffs? We would be in the same position as we are now but without paying into the EU. If countries freeze us out of the service sector we can freeze them out in the goods or other sectors sector. I am not expert enough to work through all the figures I admit. There is the question of companies, Japanese, who make stuff here to import into Europe without tariffs. They could still import tariff free into Europe into countries we have a no mutual tariffs agreement with. Is this too good to be true?? Added bonus, we can control our immigration. Eases the cost on own infrastructure, our people get to work. |

I think he can frighten us boxingthefox, but I hope you are right.

The reality is, the referendum vote has turned into a vote against Cameron and the Tory government.
|
|
By:
Simply if we are a net contributor to the EU taking everything into account, we are better off out.
If we are a net recipient taking everything into account we are better off staying in. I doubt there is anywhere we can find these figures unfortunately. If we vote leave, I think Tories will remain in power Facts, Boris will take over. If we remain Cameron will stay, but will be replaced before next election. Osborne ![]() |
