Suicide?

Seems a strange case this, one for the CCDA to investigate.

Fair go, Facts ... but THE SMITHS as an iconic band?  What are you schmokin, bro?

Meanwhile, CCDA (Scotland Branch) is looking into a case of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfO8TcBa6I0 for those poor lads ...

The Smiths were a big band imo, whatever an iconic band is they were certainly cult.

"The Smiths became known as the "Flower wimps" and were criticized quite harshly" - quite rightly too, IMHO!

personally I never got any sentiment in songs, I felt it all cliche and all done to death.
Each songwriter thinks they were the first to feel what ever inspired them but they are too late its all been done.

I think therefore rhythm and the tune is the most important part of any composition, and when you think about it its intrinsic.
We were dancing around fires way before they invented frilly shirt cuffs.

Are you being deliberately obtuse.?

The YouTube clip states it's Viola Beach - so why do you ask ' is this them '

I repeat. Have some respect.

they shpuld have reported this differently . Maybe 5 musicians ,or 5 young Brits in  accident.

First report said 'killed in Sweden rather than killed in accident ,which suggested to me that theyu may have been gunned down etc .

I'm pretty rubbish at English language ,but  folk writing headlines should know better (idiots) so   disrepectful  .  They would have known everyone would have though ' who the hell are Viola beach ?   they weren't a very well known band at all .

Sad loss of young lives all the same .  more of a  head scratching  story than anything - how the hell could such a thing happen ?

unless it was another  Andreas Lubitz moment following  a row ?

Very sad, they were due to play at my local venue on Saturday night.   The radio sent a tweet saying "Indie band no-show at Boiler Room after they are killed in an accident in Sweden".

"No-show" is hardly how I would describe it.

Biffo Clyro
Snow Patrol
Simple Minds ... not too keen on any of those bands, though I once did have the pleasure of meeting Travis one summer in Glasgow Botanical Gardens before they hit the big time.
