I'm not a big eater and never count calories as I'm the same weight as I was when I was 16, twelve and a half stone so never had the need to monitor my intake. Typical day for me is tea and a bacon roll early doors, with HP sauce obviously, lunch a salt beef sandwich with horseradish sauca and a packet of crisps, dinner something like a tuna steak or roast duck and some veg and then late evening cheese and biccies. I've got absolutely no idea what amount of calories that comes to, don't care either.I have started to eat a lot more fruit recently, I do massive fruit salads twice a week and we get stuck into them.

The amount of sugar in fruit is ridiculus.

I don't believe the other nutrients make up for it

Kenny it's a good idea to hum a rhythmic tune if you want to maintain a steady pace, it's why armies have marching songs.
Try this, if you can keep up with it you will see 4mph guaranteed.

You'd be better off swapping the nuts for some Shiite like Pringles. 100g nuts would fill you up a fair bit whereas 100g of Pringles and you'd barely feel like you had ate anything.

not all fruit, Zazu. Cherries and prunes have a very low GI, and dried fruit of course.

Well, if you're going to go on a diet anyway, you may as well have one last bash at seeing how many calories you can consume in 12 hours. What better way to start a diet than a hatred of food.

Yeah.  celebrate the fact that you are going on a life changing diet tomorrow by stuffing your face today.

Good luck Davey. Did something similar about 3 years ago on doctor's orders.

Smaller portion size (nine inch plate)
Cut out high sugar treats like ice cream and cake
Walked every day building up to 2 miles at steady pace.

Lost the weight at around 2lb a week and reached target in 5 months.
You can do it too.

There's 'dieting' and there's 'lifestyle change'.

Make sure it's the latter

You two are putting the cart before the horse, quite frankly. The man loves food. He's got to hate food. That means doing this:

0hrs:        100g peanuts (600 calories) and start bottle of wine (600 calories)
0:30:          Large Fish and  Chips and salad cream with bread and butter (2000 calories)
1:00-1:30:     120g dairy milk chocolate (650 calories)  bottle of wine finished.
1:30-5:00    bottle of 700ml vodka (1400 cal.) mixed with 1litre of Lilt (500 cal.)  100g pork scratchings (600 calories) as apperitifs
5:00-7:00    Mid session slumber
7:00-7:30    Awake, inevitable “comfort break”, shower,  order curry
7:30-8:00    50g cashew nuts (300 calories) and start bottle of wine (600 calories)
8:00-9:30    4 popodoms with relishes (200 calories)
        Naan bread (400 calories)
        Chicken Jalfrezi (500 calories)
        Saag aloo (350 calories)
        Pilau Rice (400 calories)
9:30-10:00    Snickers duo (425 calories)
10:00-11:00    Pint of guinness (300)
11:00-12:00    Pint of guinness (300) and a packet of salt and vinegar crisps + 50g salted peanuts all mixed up (500 calories)

You know it makes sense, Davey.
