^^^^^^Agreed.
In the last 2 referendums the 'No' vote won. |

A question....
Would we be still signed up to the European Court of Human Rights, if we decided to stay? |
|
By:
yes. Could I also mention that under clauses 2 & 3 of the 1972 European Charter, the European Court of Justice has the power to veto any of the agreements that were quoted last night. Cameron says they will be written into law but those 2 clauses over rule anything.

watching sky news for an hour and I wonder that anyone is for leaving?? Never seen such a biased presentation. The whole lot of them have sold their souls to the giant corrupt stinking undemocratic heap.
After one hour they have managed to find bill cash!! But after an hour!!!!!This boulton presenter character is clearly pro euro - we have seen them do a job on farage and saw a job done on corbyn - now they are doing one on the EU. PRO!!! |

when I watcha al jazeera they usually get one pro one against and one in the middle for a thorough debate over most issues. Where has balanced debate gone - on QT it was 4 pro and 1 out !!!! I guess there's more of this to come slanted in this way.

The motoring group waded into the Europe debate today by claiming costs at the pumps could rise by 18.7p a litre 'within days' of a Brexit vote.
But AA president Edmund King later took to Twitter to apologise for the comments, admitting they had been ‘misinterpreted’ and were taken from on a report by banking group Goldman Sachs – known supporters of the ‘In’ campaign. . http://www.ukip.org/ukip_welcomes_aa_apology_over_fuel_price_rumours |

I have also heard you camels will abort and all your wives will be barren if you vote out.
I wonder what other scare stories will come out. Our country has been flooded with foreigners and I not only want to see it stopped, I want them to go back. If not, england will become a foreign country. It really is that simple. Now there IS a scare story. |

I think you mean if we stay in we are in very serious trouble ... we are now (not financial)
well we are fkd either way then. time for an elected leader to micro manage and not be voted in on the basis of "charisma". this si a really dodgy predicament we are in. we will be a 3rd world country in looks if we stay in or financially if we dont. oddly the choice is OURS. talk about passing the buck |

But if we do stay in a number of our most important people will gain access to gold plated pension schemes and their families will be granted well paid jobs for life in Brussels.Isn't that what is most important during debate such as this ?

tories are foreign to me idea wise so thats a good thing.
also i think the only problem with the eu is they have so many things to deal with they cant get round to important issues like uniforming the gambling industry. im sure when they get round to it practises here like account barring and restricting will be deemed discriminative. at the moment we are at the mercy of a government who wont do a thing to cut out such discrimiation. |

This morning, 13 ex-military leaders signed a letter to the Daily Telegraph in which they warned Britain would be less safe if it left the EU.
The letter warned voters should opt to remain tied to Brussels at the upcoming in/out referendum on June 23 in order to protect the UK from the “grave security threats” posed by Islamic State terrorists and Russian president Vladimir Putin. But, a Downing Street spokesman was later forced to admit the letter had not in fact been signed by former special forces chief General Sir Michael Rose, despite his name appearing as a signatory. . http://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/647102/Brexit-scaremongering-military-letter-General-Sir-Michael-Rose-EU-referendum |

Officials have said that key EU initiatives which may be “controversial” have been shelved to assist Prime Minister David Cameron’s campaign to keep Britain in the European Union. The legislation includes a €20bn increase in the EU’s budget, new rules on the freedom of movement, and indeed the accession to the European Convention on Human Rights – a deeply unpopular, sovereignty-stripping treaty.

You don't need a lot of brains to see that there are now far too many people in the country and resources and amenities are stretched to the limits. Houses seem to be going up everywhere but there is still a huge shortage of accommodation. 300,000 net migration last year. In other words about a million every 3 years or so with no end or limit for the future. Frightening. |

300,000 net migration last year. In other words about a million every 3 years or so with no end or limit for the future.
do you think the number is accurate? One of the big questions arising from today’s immigration statistics is how there can be 260,000 immigrants from the European Union (EU) over the past year yet around 650,000 National Insurance Numbers (NINos) handed to EU citizens. . http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/02/25/650000-new-national-insurance-numbers-of-eu-migrants/ |

why dont they use the gross figure its just misleading, since the 1997 election 10 MILLION people have come to the uk
|
|
By:
Of course the figure is not accurate. The government admitted that when they did the last census it was impossible to know how many people were in the UK simply because all those who for various reasons wanted to stay beneath the radar simply didn't put their names down on the forms.
why dont they use the gross figure? Because the net figure doesn't make it sound as bad. |

Viktor Orban, Hungary’s Prime Minister, has told his parliament that Cameron got nothing and reassures them that Hungarians who have not paid contributions will still get UK benefits:
“the real debate was about there being benefits which workers do not pay for, but for which they are nonetheless eligible. The question was what should happen with benefits paid to third-country nationals, for which no contributions are paid in Britain. Here, too, we have succeeded in ensuring that these social benefits cannot be taken away… This means that we have even succeeded in protecting benefits which people working in the United Kingdom did not pay for in the form of contributions.” |
|
By:
Cameron's so-called deal contains nothing which addresses the public's major concern that immigration to the UK will still be uncontrolled.
|
|
By:
It's all about deceit, the EU will withold any contentious news in order to assist the referendum to return a Yes vote. Then we will see the release of a bunch of legislation that is unsavoury. How can anyone trust a set up that behaves like this ?

Teenager Joe Taylor was flagged up for political extremism by the deputy head after he used a school computer to click on the party's website.
The 15-year-old went online earlier this week to research immigration following a classroom discussion on the subject, logging on with his school username. But he was stunned when teachers subsequently reported him to the police, claiming he had raised welfare concerns by visiting "politically incorrect websites". Amazingly he was referred to a specialist team whose usual brief is preventing vulnerable youngsters from being groomed and indoctrinated by Islamic State (ISIS) jihadis. . http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/647539/Ukip-UK-Independence-Party-school-police-called-website |

Socialist leaders in the European Parliament have threatened to sabotage and “never agree” to David Cameron’s much touted “deal” to curb migrant benefits, just as legal experts warn the deal is not “legally binding” despite the Prime Minister’s assurances.
Italian MEP Gianni Pittella speaks for the second largest group in the European Union (EU) assembly. This Wednesday, he labeled Mr. Cameron’s “emergency brake” on migrant benefits “discrimination”. Professor Steve Peers, who has worked as consultant for the European Parliament and the European Commission, as well as the House of Lords Select Committee on the European Union, agreed. He said that the policy was likely to be challenged in courts as “discrimination”. . http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/02/26/leading-eu-socialists-will-never-agree-to-migrant-benefit-brake-not-legal-binding-say-experts/ |

Quelle surprise.
At what point will the UK wake up and realise the EU is ONE COUNTRY. No such thing as migrants, just EU citizens. We've sleep walked into a fiasco that says at any entry point into Britain: EU Passport Holders Only. The UK's sovereignity was lost some years ago... |

After thinking about it, Sod it Im a 'IN'.....
I want to retire in a nice warm country....So I don't want to be bogged down with endless bureaucracy, red tape and visa requirements when I decide it to call it a day and retire to the hot sunny climates of the Costa del Sol. |

Now that nice man mr Cameron is telling the flood victims the eu will help them out just as the referendum is on the horizon not a bribe of course

By:
I'm leaning towards out but I'm not sure that pulling out will actually change anything. You only have to look at the problem Switzerland is facing at the moment. They aren't in the EU but are part of EFTA and as such since the referendum where their citizens voted to re introduce quotas on immigration they have no clue how to implement these quotas without facing trade repercussions with the EU. So they are basically now waiting to see what happens in our referendum before making a decision. You would have to presume we would try and join EFTA if we left so we would no doubt be in a similar position.

I'd be happy to join a union with switzerland. I'm quite fondue of the country.
Their immigration is worse than ours though, as you say, and they're sick of it. |
