Lovely faithful pets and great with the kids but had to take mine back to the Arctic when the local fishmonger stopped stocking seals after protests from animal rights activists... these would-be do-gooders just don't understand the knock on effects of their actions.Plain

When the kids were small we had one as a pet. It got out of its cage one night and we couldn't find it. We looked everywhere and the kids were understandably upset, as they'd become fond of it.

Anyway, it just turned up a week later, none the worse for wear. I think it survived because of its ability to store food in its cheeks.

The pet shop that sold it to us did advise that they could become ferocious, but we thought they were teasing. Unhappily it died after a couple of years, before it could grow into an adult polar bear.

They make great pets if you have small (not large, mind) children.

Yes dunlaying, I was fortunate to do so on a number of occasions. Grin Mind you I never had the courage to tell Hercules that he was on the bell. Crazy

Was going to post a photo of Andy and Hercules behind the bar pouring a pint and the 2 of them wrestling in the car park but the moderators rebuked the photos. ffs, ridiculous when one sees some of the **** they allow.

I adopted one called Cyril, great at first, then he discovered Chit Chat, he now spends all day fcking about on his computer doesn't want to go out, help with the shopping, or the household chores, he's put on 25 stone the fat unt. just wants to eat crisps and drink cans of wife beater (Stella), I have taken out an a High court writ to recover costs but the 'brave' high court sheriffs won't come near the house, I'm at my wits end, my advice is run a mile people do not adopt one!!!

BF moderators dunlaying. Why would they censor a photo of Hercules having a pint and another of him and Andy wrestling in the car park? The world has gone mad with all this pc stuff imo.
