Don't think Cameron has got any clear strategy or considered thought about the next plan, just bomb them ! Fueling more tensions. and would also make Britain a bigger target. It's the American idea that dropping bombs brings peace.

These M.East countries are relatively powerless compared to the West, so no threat militarily except terrorism, which is real, I certainly see that But I still consider we ourselves are the cause because this terrorism is quite recent, Jews were always the target of course by groups who were sympathetic to the Palestinian Arab cause. But these attacks on Western countries are new, which Islam certainly is not, so there must be another cause? That is my own opinion...others disagree |

The title of this thread is a tad misleading.
We're looking to bomb ISIS who just happen to be located in Syria. We're already bombing this scum in Iraq so what's the objection? Morons seem to believe the UK is itching to carpet bomb the entire country. |

I do wish Vlad the Inhaler would file a remonstrance against the Ottomans through NATO. How that works i have no idea but there must be some cause célèbre.

Wesdag - We've bombed Afghan, Iraq and Libya. We have supported America's decision to use drones to bomb Pakistan.
Syria is the next on the list despite the above actions making things worse not better. Add to that Russia's desire to support Assad long term whereas Cameron wants to see him removed.. |

The scum we seek to destroy will be among civilians.
Sadly many civilians will continue to perish. I'd like us to not be the ones dropping the bombs on them. If Cameron wants to fight a proper war on the ground then introduce conscription and let's get on with it. I'll sign up and die if necessary. This bombing is a waste of money, time and lives. It will achieve nothing long term except to spread more hatred and terrorism. Just for once can we do something efficiently. |

I agree Wes. We can't appease the terrorists. We must act but with wisdom and we must succeed.
As keeps being said on here, both Labour and Conservative leaders have welcomed mass immigration. The danger as the French found out to their great cost came from their own people... Cameron said 7 terror plots have been foiled in the UK in the last year. I suggest we get our house in order before sending the RAF into Syria (unless we go on the ground, destroy IS and set up safe havens for refugees). |
