The only people talking any sense about this are the Hungarian government,they have said that they dont want their country overrun by muslims and that if quotas are imposed, people will start moving around freely as soon as they have been granted asylum thus defeating the object of sharing the numbers around

It would seem clear that dukeofpuke is drawing attention to one of the most relevant facts, namely that of population density per square kilometre amongst various countries including England which is double that of comparative European countries like France and Germany and dwarfs that of rich countries who are their muslim brothers like Saudi Arabia. |

I'll wager the petition is largely signed by right on people aged 18-30, probably an amazing amount of whom did gender studies degrees and love corbyn. |

Hate is a strong word, it's almost like you have no life experience of mixing with people of different cultures and backgrounds. They don't hate each other, they don't agree with each other's beliefs in certain instances above but they don't hate each other, in city's like London especially, they work together and they even socialise with each other
 Ever country needs immigration control, in this case we're talking about a few thousand refugee's coming from a region that Britain helped to destabalise, if that's not a moral duty I don't know what is, what I don't understand is why America are admitting them, the EU is shouldering the problem completely. There are thousands of empty properties all over the country. People have moved around since the dawn of time, if you don't like where you live then I hear Slovakia is refusing to accept Muslims. The likes of you would be in heaven. |

Again we're not talking about an influx of millions, but a few thousand, the country is still 85% white if that's what concerns you dukeofpuke, I believe religion is in a word, bollox, but look past that and you see humans traipsing miles for a better life risking their own kids lives, they're not doing that for a laugh, they were forced too no small thanks to this country, if you were born in that region, you would be doing the same. |

surely to god they could have made some attempt to have a makeshift lifejacket? i read somehwere that one family of 6 paid 2000 each for a 30minute trip on a boat. if they can afford that surely a lifejacket or something is a no brainer. the poor kids never had a chance

EO, for the second day in a row I have to explain what has already been stated in two previous posts in to a third, but anyway, the part where I said Britain is partly responsible for the mess in the middle east means people from those destabalised regions should expect to be allowed to seek refuge here.

The people in Syria now deserve as much help and support the rest of the world can manage and deserve our sympathy .
The Syrians that reach the safety of Turkey and stay there are genuine asylum seekers and again the rest of the world help until the situation in Syria changes and deserve our full sympathy. Those that leave the safety of Turkey and dictate where they wish to live for a better lifestyle and ignore the laws of the countries they transit are not asylum seekers they are economic migrants. |

no able bodied man of military age should be allowed to leave Syria for Europe, it is his duty to stay and fight for his country. It should be something shameful and treated with scorn for a young man to flee to Europe.

Many years ago after the 2nd World War, Great Britain with the Rest of the World created a New Country in the Middle of Arab occupied Land.

Scandinavian,there has been conflicts between the two main factions in the Islamic world over the interpretation of a dopey fairy tale for centuries .
The war between Iran and Iraq or the ongoing unreported proxy war between Saudi Arabia and their hated enemy Iran in Yemen are not the fault of the democratic world. I would agree that trying to impose our values which their belief system rejects was very poor judgement and made the situation worse and a convenient scapegoat for the warring factions . However to blame the West and Israel for all the problems , as some do, in that region is ignorant nonsense. |
