Was expecting the arrival of my third grandson, very close to my own birthday of  24th Sept.

His partner is now going to have a "C-Section" first thing tomorrow, as the baby has stopped growing!

Very worried here guys......

Should be okay, 3 weeks premature is quite manageable, best of luck.

It's not uncommon this and is a better safe than sorry step to take, gl.

Fingers crossed for you and yours that everything goes ok, as someone said 3 weeks prem is not unusual,  our own twins were 10 weeks prem and only weighed 3lb each on arrival, 22 years later they are both 6ft plus and embarrassingly fit and healthy, gl

Fingers crossed Aunty, my eldest son was six weeks early by C-section as he had Gastroschisis, that was nearly 19 years ago. Im sure all will  turn out fine.

Gosh guys, thanks so much for your support.

Apparently the baby hasn't grown since her previous scan, and is actually smaller.

The placenta has ceased to perform, and the baby has been effectively feeding on itself.

Expected to be something like 5lbs.....

Best wishes AP. As others have said this is not that uncommon, but I realise that doesn't stop the worry.

Yeah, in the same way you can't say "as it happens"!

It's two hours past my average bed time, and sleep is not an option!

Thanks crags for your sincerity.

The little man entered the world at 09:18, and weighing just under five and a half pounds.

He is so bright eyed, and with perfect complexion, and I reckon he was just fed up of waiting.....Love

Great news that little Oliver is healthy and well, he is a real Bobby Dazzler. Many congratulations. When stuff like this story comes up on chit chat people show their humanity.
