After Cilla's death, its best now for Micky Fannagan to cancel the Liverpool leg of his UK tour.

Know at least 3 people who worked with Cilla over the years. None of them had anything good to say about her,

Nice or nasty person, we all grew up with Cilla.

I picked my 19YO Daughter up earlier and the first thing she said was "Cilla Black is dead".

TV has changed nowadays, you can die a z list celebrity like the guy from The Apprentice but Cilla was a big name for me anyway and it's a part of my youth that has gone.

RIP.

to me she peaked musically late 60s,she had her own bbc Saturday night show,
theme song written by macca and a couple of big hits to finish off the decade,
but theres no doubt she was a big star, its just a shame she just wasn't very nice

Cilla had two more-or-less independent careers, first as a singer and then as one of our top television presenters: Blind Date and Surprise Surprise each ran for about 20 years. She wasn't to my taste but I'm not really sure it matters whether she was up herself: it's not like she was going to invite herself round for tea. A more legitimate complaint might be that she never advanced her art; she was a bit more than a covers act with a good set of pipes, but not much more.

Not suprising that the lovable Ricky was against Cilla 'Black'... considering that he was in the NF back in the day.

I didn't, cardiff. I didn't care for her much, hence the no RIP from me. But I'd never come on a thread slagging someone off the day they died.
