How would you solve the Calais crisis?

Emigrate the country to the Costa's and leave them to it.

Bring em in then stick em on a ship and drop them off in Southern Africa.

The Govt is 'solving' the Calais problem by talking tough but the reality
is there is nothing they can do so the current situation where some  migrants
get through every day is a sort of management compared with having to deal with
several thousand at one time. Every one that gets through will either disappear
into the black economy or become an asylum seeker on £35 a week with accommodation
and most importantly a lawyer to help them stay here.
There will be thousands more on the way, fortunately most will want to stay in
London and the SE

I'm surprised the perimeter of the Channel Tunnel hasn't been beefed up with electric fencing and dogs etc.
Breaching this area not only represents a huge security risk, but it's also a Health & Safety™ issue with migrants being injured & killed.

Cameron hasn't got a grip on this problem at all, he was slow to act in the beginning and now has a very difficult issue to deal with. Sending in sniffer dogs and building extra security fences is not going to stop them. There was that one migrant being interviewed on TV last night and he said, "They can put more fences, they can bring in the dogs, they can put lions and scorpions there, we will still get through"

Need a lot more than Cameron talking tough now before he heads off on his holiday next week, and probably leave other ministers to handle the crisis. Don't see any other answer but bring in the troops.

Set up an immigration bureau at Calais.

Sort out who is a "genuine" asylum seeker with links to the UK and who isn't.

If they are not deemed "genuine" then they get a French equivalent of an ASBO and are not allowed within 200km of the North French coast.

If they break the ASBO they get deported to their country of origin, if known, or dressed up as a lion and taken to a dentist's convention in Minnesota..

Recall Parliament for a No-confidence vote in the Government !

I think the truth is Cameron hasn't got a bloody clue what to do !  What would Thatcher have done ?!!!
