want to buy simple mobile--call-text only

My Nokia packed in after 14 years. I was the same,just wanted a simple no frills mobile. I bought a Samsung pay as you go phone from Argos for just £5 plus £10 call time. It does the job fine and fits easily into your pocket.

I use a Sony Ericsson w200i with a payg sim. It cost me £30 and I've had it about 8 years now. Totally reliable and still working 100%. Changed the battery about 6 months ago.
Although discontinued you can still buy them for about £15 and all accessories and replacement batteries are available for a song. Will keep mine until it drops.

I don't use it much either. Prefer using my iPad.

My "kids" are the same. They can complain about being skint, but always have to have the latest model!

Gem got the S6 and put it down, face up on a kitchen worktop, and a can of soup destroyed it (I don't think it was even organic)!
