Good news mate, mine has his swimming lesson on Friday which he likes, he'll never get back to how he was though. I took him out this morning for a 15 minute walk and a few minutes from home he was dragging his hind legs badly. This time last year he was doing 4 miles in the park twice a day hurtling around, a shadow of his former self but what can you do? I'm starting to think whether it's really fair to keep him going. I've put God only knows how many untold hours trying to get him back, I could pretty much be a qualified vet physio the amount of time I've put in but to be honest I'm losing the faith as to whether I'm doing the right thing for him.

I'll see what they say on Friday B-B, he had 11 hours of chemo 10 days ago which totally wiped him out but it seems to make no difference whatever they do. He's still a happy soul and not in pain as such just very unpredictable as to whether he is on a going day or not. It's just so awful to see him like this. One minute he was completely fine, the next he is paralysed. I'll stick with him of course no doubt, it's all just so bloody sad.

when I was kid slippy we had a "sausage dog" and when he was about 3 a disc went in his back and paralysed his rear end. To be honest he should have been put to sleep but my old man built him this little wooden trolley on wheels to rest his back end on, placed a nappy on it and he pulled himself around using his front legs. After about a year he started to get some feeling back and he started to walk again, by a miracle he walked normally again after 2 years and went on to live to 14. There's always hope if your vet thinks so.
