They turned a blind eye to Muslim corruption in Tower Hamlets but you can bet your bottom dollar that if you've done your shopping, got some pork sausages in your carrier bag and are walking anywhere near a mosque, you will be arrested and given a long sentence in one of Londonistan's high security prisons!

There are already existing laws which make it illegal to attack or assault anyone. Causing bodily harm is against the law and understandably so.

If you attacked someone because you opposed their religion, football team or simply because you didn't like the cut of their jib, the crime is still the same. As such the punishment should be the same regardless of motive.

Having a separate law which makes it worse because of an anti-religious motive is ludicrous. Besides, many world leaders marched united arm in arm ahead of tens of thousands in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attacks, in very public defence of the right of free speech. Islam, or any religion, should not be beyond criticism from whosoever wishes to express sentiment against it.

I'm sorry,  Foinavon, but that's a semantic contortion too far. Phobia is not a medical condition it is a suffix. The etymology of islamaphobia is perfectly well established and claiming it medicalises rational (sic) criticism is, well, gobbledegook.

Look i suppose if you ignore the mass child molestation,sharia courts,the lee rigby misunderstanding ,the electoral fraud ,honour killings and a few other minor cultural differences there is really nothing to get worried about.

Of course not, but denouncing the rape of children is a very different thing from declaring, for example, that all Pakistani men are paedophiles, or Islam promotes child abuse.

I have seen plenty of discussion about the responsibility of communities to combat this aberrant behaviour and never seen it shouted down. But contrast the comments you frequently see on here, which while they use that same behaviour as a jumping off point, extend the condemnation to support a much broader, more sinister agenda.
