But as this graph from Full Fact demonstrates, whichever measure you use on average people will be worse off than in 2010 by at least £900. On the other hand, the IFS says Osbone’s claim that people are £900 better off is based on net incomes, rather than gross earnings. Comparing the claims of the two parties, Mr Johnson said: “As ever there is much truth in both numbers. Real earnings have fallen, as Mr Miliband says. Real incomes should be above their 2010 level as Mr Osborne says. “We are for sure much worse off on average than we could reasonably have expected to be back in 2007 or indeed back in 2010.“ |

Despite that Facts I would still say that the lower paid are better off because of the constant rises in the tax threshold.
I know everyone gains purely from that but for the lower paid it's a reasonable added %age to their net income. |

Maybe because he insulted the audience early on - or he was right regarding who was invited? Or, just maybe........it was because he talked complete b@ll@cks. Well, he pretty much stuck to the UKIP manifesto line, even highlighting their taxation policy (which I doubt he personally agrees with). Now you may still say that's complete bo11ocks, but it's 'complete bo11ocks' that one would think a proportion of the audience were prepared to believe in and support, if they were selected according to proposed voting patterns as Dimbleby rather vehemently argued. |

I think they're more going to town on the ultra impressive display in the debates by Nicola Sturgeon. Agree with her or not (the more you dig the less there is to like) but she can think on her feet, will not be cowed and is more on top of her brief than anyone else in these TV debates, where she looks entirely at home |

I disagree ,its nothing we haven’t seen or heard before from her, yet the media are trying to make out its new fresh and relevant.
What they are trying to do is put place her in a positive light in order to take the focus off UKIP, but it’s a very dangerous game they are playing, especially for the leftwing they will have the most to lose when Scotland gets independence. |

The media's kid glove approach to Sturgeon is confusing.
She wants to get into Westminster, then do all she can for Scotland whilst she's there, then hold another vote for independence (and keep doing so until she wins), then bog off. She will bring zero long term strategy or planning to the future of the rest of the Uk. Nigel's 'tail wagging the dog' comment was of course bullseye. |

Never thought I would say this but I sort of feel sorry for Milliband, he is trying his best not to fall into a well planned trap by the snp and the torys to give the Scots independence.
This will make the torys invincible in England, with the added bonus portraying Labour as the party that broke the union, and I think that will finish Labour off. |

Many can get up on the stand and shout loud and sound good promising all to all. But then many still do.
Two parties have lied to us for 20 years and still getting away with it. Supported by such people as Facts. He certainly doesn't want to see any change. Scary isn't it. |
