they are not out to trick you. Think of an example from the last 6 weeks when you solved a problem. Easy. Off the top of my head in a call centre possible examples:- customer calling in , in a foul mood, and what you did to 'turn it around' . mention that the work you did will encourage them to maintain their relationship with your firm - shows you have some commercial acumen.

Are you sure you want this job? I'd expect it to be more stressful with "rabbit in the headlights" situations than your current job if (and you do not say this) it is dealing directly with passengers, because they will be in a rush so they don't miss the train, whereas in a shop, it does not really matter how long you take or how many bosses you consult before swapping Daz for Persil.
As @howdi says, it's not a trick question. They want to know if you can think on your feet when faced with a problem. Write down as many examples as you can remember from your current job. Carry the paper with you so you can add more as they pop into your brain. At the end of the day, choose the best three and run them past your missus.

The two most common problems people have in life are: -marital problems -money problems -health problems
Pick any example from these and show the effective decision you made to deal with it. Two common approaches are: -seeking marriage guidance, had to persuade wife to come -going to interest only mortgage for a while, had to overcome obstruction from the bank first but they relented -cutting back on alcohol, had to tell my mates that i'll drive, made mates happy
All you've got to do is flesh them out a little. And learn to count.
