If you were smart, you'd book a domestic flight say LondonAberdeen, and time it so you'd most likely be above the clouds at 9:30 :)
Actually, seriously, I think being in a window seat on the correct side during an eclipse would be a pretty awesmome experience. |

I wouldn't be surprised if some people are going to blind themselves or burn out their camera sensors.
Camera + telephoto + looking at the sun might not be a great idea. |

100% eclipse, a "b*lls deep eclipse" as Patrick Moore used to call it on ths Sky at Night. It was post watershed and nobody watched, he could get away with that sort of thing, it was often just filth. |

A bit of cloud may actually help so long as you can see the Sun's disc through it. It's fully cloudy where I am but I'm still hopeful.
