these predatory motherf*ckers act with total impunity due to pusillanimous,liberal scum we all know the etnicity of the perpetrators i grew up in a 'diverse' area have lots of friends of the same hue who are good guys but who would still not totally condemn this altho' they certainly wouldn't condone it and that annoys me as well i'd sort this sh*t out in 2 mins(i mean all violent opportunistic crime whoever the perpetrators) but of course i'd never get the opportunity so unfortunately it's only going to get worse i have the utmost sympathy for those having to endure an existence in the inner cities god help them |

No jury will convict if you use equal force because equal force is reasonable force! It is unreasonable to use a knife against an unarmed. But perfectly reasonable to defend with a knife against a knife. The attacked have human rights as well you know!
Reasonable force is not equal force and can be greater or lesser than equal force depending on the circumstances and the context. There is no such thing as equal force in the UK other wise that is what would be required instead of reasonable force. |

What I meant was, if you are attacked by a man with a knife and you shoot him with a gun, that is not likely to be regarded as reasonable force. But if you kill him with a knife, that is more likely to be regarded as reasonable force. One of the few qualifications I don't have is in Law. So I bow to everyone elses superior knowledge if they are more qualified in this field than what I am!

To opine on the question of using a gun when attacked by a man with a knife, if someone is threatening to kill you and you have not had a reasonable amount of training in the gradations of the options available, it's reasonable in my view to kill them.
Of course it would probably need a jury to decide. |

Knives were in abundance in the 50s, a bit before my time but I remember being threatened by a thug with a flick knife when I was about 11. Most Teddy boys had them. |

you'd then be given a fair amount of leniency casemoney as that is plainly defending your own life against your attackers but you're clearly not prepared for war .. it'd then come down to your 'good character' & previous convictions !

All I know is that if I am attacked by someone with a knife, my first thought will NOT be will the jury convict me if I defend myself! I would defend myself with any means at my disposal and my intention would be to eliminate my assailant with extreme prejudice!

I see 2 suspects are being held in relation to the murder. If found guilty wouldn't it be nice if they could be given life sentences which meant until their death. More likely they will be released with plenty of time to father the next generation of angry feral scum.
