English pubs on the border to profit from drink drivers?

No fred, from people who would like to have 1 pint without a risk.

Scottish people are going to drive to England to have one pint?

I would love to explain this in simple terms, the decline is down to the people that cannot now risk having one pint of beer, this rule makes it so much easier not to go out at all.

It maybe wrong to even drink one bit when you go out and drive, but that is not we are discussing here, this about wrecking a part of british heritage.

Anecdotal evidence from what I've seen up here is that there are a lot of people who now aren't sure where they stand and so are erring on the side of caution which is a good thing. Previously people wrongly made the assumption that they could have a skin full the night before and drive the next day on the basis that it would be out of their system the following day. The new law has made people ask questions. A few lads at work have asked me how quickly alcohol tends to leave the system and are shocked by the knowledge that there is every chance that they wouldn't be fit to drive for many hours after they actually did previously drive. Which was always the case but the change in the law has caused a seismic shift in attitudes. Whether this newly discovered concern continues is debatable.

The new drink drive law is fecking ridiculous and is another classic example of the SNP legislating for headlines.

Unreal can't have 1 pint ,wtf, how can a pint of larger impair anyones driving ? 1 PINT

England and Scotland should use a drink drive system similar to this..

Motorway driving max 2 pints
Dual Carriageway max 3 pints
50 mph single track max 4 pints
Urban 30 mph areas max 5 pints
Rural lanes max 8 pints

Let's hope they come down as heavily on the idiots who text and use their phone while driving. Being distracted by a phone is much more dangerous than driving after one pint.

I am surprised any pubs are still in business...especially Scotland

No smoking(ridiculous), price of alcohol, now this..does not do a lot for our economy

We are living in a  women's world

The problem is ebul that some people say that about 8 or 9 pints.
Alcohol does make you more confident.

I think you concentrate more after 4 or 5 pints just in case the Old Bill is about.

It varies for different people ..although the current limits would catch the 8/9 pints drinker Akabula

If I was them I would say give up the SNP

Drink driving hasn't got anything to do with risk taking its more to do with being a complete ****. I know because I used to do it when I was young and only by luck did I get away with not seriously harming someone.

TBH only a totally stupid cant would drink and drive knowing the limits.
Research has shown that even a small amount can impair the reaction times in certain individuals.
