they had a woman agent on the radio last night, and she was asked if her clients would mind giving up 1% of their salary so it could be invested in grass roots football. She said the foreign players wouldn't do it because basically they are greedy, she was quite confident the English ones all would though and then she said she would just get the clubs to give her clients a 1% pay rise. ffs

I bet this 'grassroots' spending is all controlled by clubs anyway. Anyone have any example of how it is spent?

it goes to county FA's to distribute and football league grants for lower league clubs, the National Lottery is probably contributing more at the moment.
