I have found a file C:\users\username\app data\local\betfair poker. When i click on betfair poker it brings me into another section. I have played a few hands today on cash etc. One of the files is called current the other is my betfair username. Would this be the file to link it to. Thanks very much for the help have tried the forums and got know where. By the way how do you find betfair poker. It looks like it has a good selection of small stake mtt's. Gave up on stars fields to big. Fav site 888 as standard not great. Again thanks for the help much appreciated. May see you at the tables in the near future. gl

Point HEM to the app data folder and let it search through the sub folders, I can't really help you as it's been ages since I've had to do all this. If you've any problems then asking on the HEM forums, even if it takes a day or so for a response.

The software is crap and both HEM and I-Poker crash on me at times, it's also impossible to play more than 6 - 8 tables. Filtering and closing down tables is a nightmare. HEM doesn't track rebuys very well so you'll have to manually enter them when the game finishes (HEMs problem). In saying that the promotions are great, the fields are soft and pretty small. They also aren't filled with Regs. Despite the many problems I think it's far better here compared to Stars.

I played on an 888 skin (Lotos Poker) to complete a Holdem Add on bonus, I liked it but there wasn't much value on the site. I like to keep my options open though so may check it again.

Cheers for you help i'll mess around with it. Just one final question if you don't mind. Apart from ipoker/stars do you play on any other sites with decent mtt's in the 1-10 range. I only play mtt's. Thanks.

If you read through the thread you'll find a couple of games mentioned. Paddy's have a $1k added for $11 and Boyle's €1k added for €22 both on a Friday and both have around 100 runners. There's a few others but those are the 2 best I've seen. Betfair is good if you have ****, I think it's roughly 50%+ with the promotions they currently run. I only play I-Poker skins and Stars but I'm all ears if there's anything else. If you find anything I'd appreciate it.

The Betfair games are pretty profitable for me, I cash regularly for small amounts but it all adds up. I finished 4th in the Welcome last night for €10 (net €8). It's not much but it all adds to the bottom line and I'd a profitable week. McMoon is correct that I should be playing far higher but it's pretty much no risk poker, the games I target have added money, overlays or are simply whale filled like those Jackpots, it gets me decent pocket money and I do hit the odd big score. That £500 free bet on Unibet is one game I will target for the future. I'll lay off on here, possibly lose 50p but it gets me into a £10 value game.

Weeks graph:

http://i57.tinypic.com/i36q7r.png

I think I understand why HEM doesn't track Betfair games correctly. The buy in is 0.90+ 0.10 but Betfair charges 1 for a rebuy instead of 0.90. This is Betfair's fault, not really a big deal but it throws off HEM and why I have to manually update these tourneys.

I seen your tongue in cheek message the other day Dubai but I had a busy day and when I went to reply the mods had removed it.

A HUD is only an extra piece of info that uses stats that anyone can find via their hand histories. To ban them would take anonymous tables and I can't see that happening anytime soon. Their only an extra piece of info and no good if you don't understand the numbers. It took me over a year to understand what I was looking at and it sent me on tilt for a long time, I still can't work out many of the stats, information overload can be a bad thing.

They won't tell you how to play and their only an indication, they should be used alongside notes and colour coding to help your game. Notes and colour coding are just as vital to me as my HUD.

Where tracking software is most useful is for plugging leaks in your own game. I was a rock TAG type player on Betfair Pokerchamps brand and it was highly profitable but when I came up against decent players on Stars and Tilt who were using a HUD it became a struggle. HEM made me become more positionally aware and also plug some big leaks - I'd raise hands like AKs but fold to a donk bet on flops I missed. HEM helped me work this out. I also had trouble with 1 reg in 45 man games, he was in the top 3 profitable players at the same stakes according to Pokertableratings. I found out he was 4 betting my 3 bets every time and I was giving up way too much. When I found this out, I just 5 bet raised or shoved him, even with rags and the problems stopped. He was playing to my stats so I played to his. Sure he had AA or KK the odd time but it was profitable for me overall.

I have loads of leaks still to plug, some I know but many I don't but that's how tracking software can be useful. You can be sure the decent regs you face are using a HUD so you either have to move with the times or stay static and let others catch up. Poker is all about small long term +EV decisions. A small leak over a couple of hands is a big leak over a thousand.

I'm only playing 2-3 hours a night and only 2-3 tables, I know volume doesn't necessarily equate to more profit but I need to play much more and for longer hours. My volume has been really bad this year.

Good luck at the tables.

3rd in the One Night Stand, I'd 2 entries which both cashed but I rebought a few times.

There's a discrepancy from the graph and actual profits. HEM doesn't handle conversions well with $ £ and € Sad

N1 Anfield, congrats on the win.

I've been sucked out all day, -£25. made many mistakes but usually getting it in good and I feel I'm playing good poker although I'd change a few plays.

Only the Betfair games left and a couple of games on Stars like the Pokercast for me. I'm going to play a few I-Pops next week but none of the speed games. I found 1 player who is streaming every game he plays in the I-Pops. I'll post the link if it goes online.

As a wee tip on Stars for those that play micro stakes, place 50c on red and 50c on black, you will earn a ticket for a $2,500 freeroll with 1500 runners. This is equivilent of a $1.60 tourney. Even if you hit zero every time, this game has an overlay and great value. You have to be disciplined though and stay away from the Casino, it can easily suck you in.

thought i would give ipoker a bash tonight on your recommendation ovalman. got rivered after shoving QQ vs AJ for ridiculous amounts of BB. then got called for last 12 BB, A8 vs K2! par for the course on the site for me.

Still playing 2 entries in the sunday ricochet, 49th and 460th.

Thing i find with a hud it helps identify tight and very loose players. For example the game i won a player played five hands all game. He raised them all aa twice qq and kk. Made the final table. I had qq on the bb he shipped i had to call given the stacks but i knew either flip or beat. I have only recently starting using a hud and it helps me. Takes a bit of getting used to.

Thanks for that link King, I use another site but that link is great as well.

I'm actually putting some volume in tonight, 35 games but not running well. Min cashed in a few but gone from both I-Pops. QQ has been a killer for me against raggy Aces but it's a long term game. I'm final table of the One Night Stand again, that game and the Welcome while low stakes are pretty profitable for me. It should bring me back to even if I can get 3rd or better.

I'll check it out but running out of screen space to fit any more tables Grin It would depend on the numbers but I'll keep an eye on it. I still haven't deposited on that site but I will get around to it.

I'd an OK February, nothing major but made a profit. I got another £50 free bet tonight along with 1 on Thursday which I'll lay off. I'm running and playing well but these bonuses are really adding to my overall win rate and why I play them.

Thanks King.

Hey
Thanks for your well wishes Ovalman
I've actually be extremely ill all month , been to doctors today due to extreme anxiety attacks , poker stress would be high up he list Sad be happy to help if anybody has any questions or needs some advice but personally I'd like to quit for good , tricky with 50k in the bank though Plain

Sorry to hear that McMoon, I hope you're on the mend Sad

I won a €5 SnG last night after being left with 25 chips when the blinds were 50/100, maybe running good but I'm playing well and making correct decisions most of the time. I'd also a €20 SnG win but I'm not rolled for them and my results overall are showing a loss at this level.

I need to work on my ICM decisions especially calling off ones, I think I'm missing on spots where I'm folding 40/60 shots but long term it would be +EV. I realised it after making a 98s call against a raggy A shove where I was a 46% dog but the pot made it an instant call, I've been passing on spots like this for too long. I've never used an ICM calculator but now may be the time to do so.

The weak € is also a hit, it's becoming closer to the $, great if you go abroad but not so great if you play poker. I just checked and £= €1.39 whereas 6 months ago it was €1.20.

I still think the value lies away from Stars. Betfair are running a game valued at €500 for €1 with less than 100 runners atm, the same promotion on Stars would have 10k players in it and no overlay. I love it when the reg's gurn about the constant crashes and clunky software, it affects me also Devil

cant you set up a euro account over the border ovalman?

btw got barred from playign stars whilst abroad...they must be the only site around who can tell if your using a proxy.

Never thought about it but think it would be somewhat difficult. It's swings and roundabouts though, in 6 months time it could go the other way. It's not something we generally think about but it hurts our bottom line. On the other hand, it makes the fun players lose slower Crazy

One thing I like about Stars is their fraud detection, I've reported colluders and been refunded a few times and for safety the site is by far the best. It's good in a way that they caught you using a proxy, just think if you were hacked and lost all your funds. Their customer services are also the best and it would be easy to get your account online again after a few steps.

I won't even try for the $9M as I've only a few $$$ on Stars. I do like the deep slow structure of the game but I'm a bankroll nit and wouldn't take a shot without a few $k in my account.
By:
G1_Jockey_4
When: 07 Mar 15 12:05
yes fraud detection is good but analysing my account and the types of games would have told them im not one to even bat an eyelid at when it comes to collusion or fraud.

only like the occasional game and tend to just concentrate on qualifying for the odd big online event...so maybe play about 20-30 mtts a year varying from 16 dollars to 215 dollars.

with a bunch of steps or hyper turbos satelites in between.

strange stars are brown nosing certain countries yet dare to tale the mick out of russia where online poker is illegal Laugh yet they welcome russians withopen arms....

I thought you'd like that one Wink can't moan at a free $33 ticket , no other site really does that but stars do contribute to the Big Events like Scoop etc , though they don't do the deposit bonuses like they used to , which was basically giving Regs a free $200 per time , site is just so tough lately though shouldn't be as it's full of absolute Morons Scared

My major gripe with Stars is there's never an overlay or added tourney but when you reach Supernova or better then it's the only site to play. I took advantage of the last Spin and Go deposit, I got $7 worth of tickets - only got $4 from the tickets but it's free money just like the $33 which I will use. I withdrew my deposit along with a small profit, hey it all counts Wink

As you hint at, they should do more play through promotions. I play the Pokercast every week on Stars and they used to give a $50 playthrough bonus for 300 points. I'd grind Stars to release my bonus, it encouraged me to play. Now all I do now is deposit, wait a few days and withdraw. My deposit doesn't even get mixed up with my funds as it's kept in a different currency.

I'm loving it on Betfair. I-Poker realises they can't compete with Pokerstars on volume so they offer the casual gambler good promotions. It's far better here until you reach the stakes or volume for Supernova on Stars.
By:
Mc Moonbeam
When: 07 Mar 15 18:38
as you say if you play to make anything serious then stars basically control the market , though many games seem to be dying
I've been Supernova for 6 years but as games are just unbeatable at higher stakes now I'm finding it tougher & tougher to keep grinding sng's every day just to make vpp's up

I play a lot more sats & Mtt's now as I see it the only way to try & hit big scores & know I'm good enough to take them down when I get my chances

I'd like to just play Mtt's full time as it's what I enjoy (hate sng's) but it can get a bit soul destroying when you're not winning anything , just losing gradually day by day Blush

Have a lot of respect for guys like staples for their positive attitude when on -20k downswings , he had a few big scores last week or so watched him heads up in a Big but just got bad beated like 10 times in a row !

Nothing you can do if it's allin equity & happens to me whatever games I play , so players don't know me apart from my regular sng's

Here have a listen some of them are quite interesting

http://www.tournamentpokeredge.com/midstakes-living/

You should only really be re-shoving on 3 bets if you think you have value to do so & not just doing it randomly with stuff like A7

When: 07 Mar 15 20:51
if you're talking about just flat calling 3 bets then Positio is a major factor , but obviously they're 3 betting with Position , so how will your hand play post flop , you have to think the move through before you actually play it Wink
By:
Ovalman.
When: 08 Mar 15 15:45
I have certain players who know I steal wide, in turn they 3 bet me more because my fold to 3 bet stat was prettty high. If I know a player is doing this then I'll tighten my stealing range and either flat or 4 bet more. Every hand is situational but there are times I'd 4 bet shove even with stuff like A7o. It requires a high number of stats and how a player plays (and sometimes it backfires) but it's one way a HUD can be useful.

I can't find that deposit code anywhere on Stars? I've been told it only applies to those that got the email Cry

Not in the mood to play today but I'll still register for a few games like the Pokercast that have value attached to them. I've a few €1 tickets to use up, more freebies which I love Grin

I missed it, not fussed anyway as I'm running bad but if the offer is still on until next Sunday I'll take advantage. If not I'll deposit on King of Dubai's site and work through a first deposit bonus.

Best result of the night was a 5th in the Welcome €150 GTD, AA v JTs against the chip leader on a J high flop (runner, runner flush), there was a big overlay tonight. Running below EV today and made a small loss but winning that AA win's me that tourney, my opponent made the mistake and not me.

Years graph - rake back, bonuses and other added things like my 10 x €1 free tickets so it's a lot higher: http://i60.tinypic.com/2lk6zcw.jpg, 27% ROI for the year in 656 but my biggest losses have been in the €20's. I think my shoves are OK but I really must work hard on my ICM calls, then again it's only a small sample.

Layed off a £50 free bet yesterday for a £36 net profit. Those free bet games really help and don't show on the graph but Betfair is great to lay them off. That's my last free bet but I'll win more. Decent pocket money but I know if I were more dedicated and grind a lot more, I could do a lot better.

That's me finished for tonight, gonna watch assaninato on Twitch.
