I think I know what is happening.
Germany pumped mega bucks into Europe and are scared that Greece,Spain,Portugal,Italy.and Ireland are going to do a bunk with the money they borrowed(about 1000 billion)and not be able to pay it back. So Germany (Starting to feel the pinch themselves)want their trillion back. So the plan is that the European central bank who are owed the money from the five dodgy countries are going to make each central bank of each country of the 5 pay them and then they will pay Germany. This will leave the 5 dodgy governments of the 5 dodgy countries having to get the trillion of the people of their respective countries.(please note this is all opinion of mine but if I am correct we are all doomed. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
the countries will grind to a shuddering halt, people will starve, all economies will break down,And then Germany armed with their trillions will be the knight in shining armor take over Europe without the use of one bullet.
Once settled they will turn their eyes on Paris and London. And HEY PRESTO in ten years time the Germans will be rulers and owners of Europe. |

Crashes don't usually come on the backs of bad news.
You need a specific set of market conditions to create a crash. The first requirement is a bull market and lots of buyers and good news to set it all up. We've seen some hefty falls over the last couple of years, and twice the FTSE has tumbled over 800 points, but notice how the market always recovers. What was the bad news that precipitated those falls? And more to the point, what was the good news that cancelled it out and caused the market to recover after the falls? Ever get the feeling that you are being taken for a ride? |

It won't be the rich bankers and fund managers jumping out of any windows. They have made their millions and will be OK whatever happens.
It will be all the people those putting their pension and savings money into the funds directly or indirectly who will lose their money. |

If the US Dollar ever collapses, everything will go down in value enormously. The US Dollar is the reserve currency.
Those with the most will lose the most. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reserve_currency http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/rob-commentary/a-scary-prediction-for-the-collapse-of-paper-money/article4181492/ http://www.naturalnews.com/047975_paper_currency_fiat_money_economic_collapse.html |

If savings accounts pay negligible interest, where are people expected to put their money except into shares and property? (Oh, and spend it, which is what the government really want)
Investment property i.e. London rises. Stocks rise. Not necessarily that much to do with any stock market or macroeconomic fundamentals. More like Hobson's choice and good old supply and demand. Dr Crippen, you obviously know what you are talking about but in trying to link index movements and current events or economic data, you sound a bit like the BBC newsreaders explaining that the FTSE was down 80 due to fears of a Greek exit or lower than expected trade figures or up 30 due to good weather. |
|
By:
trying to link index movements and current events or economic data,
Jack, I thought I was suggesting that in most cases the index and the news aren't linked. The market moves through it's cycles regardless of the news. |
|
By:
Obviously good news in a bull market will help it on it's way, but when it's ready to come down it'll come down regardless of the news.
And the reverse at a bottom. |

Big day Sunday,GREECE going to the polls, and the favs to win are saying "no way we wont pay what we owe"
They might get chucked out,and then Europe will crumble as a united team. if they let them stay in and they don't honour their debt it will cause bigger trouble. ITS A DOUBLE EDGED SWORD.and should be very interesting. |

Crash has already happened pre Christmas (nobody could be bothered to start a thread then)
I often wonder where some of the player money comes from on stars Gl , think a lot must pool their funds & take pieces of action on each other in their group , that way if one hits big they all make a piece ![]() |

By:
That's quite a shocking early list tbh
are you playing any of the Tcoop events ? they don't even seem to be meeting quota's for the sats , they even cancelled a $20 deadline sat last night , will play for the $27R & $82 this afternoon ![]() |

yes there bloody well is one coming. they have been printing paper money like confetti. all the paper money will return to its true value of zero. Gold will replace it. the fifty years of fake money era is going to end. All the old banker types like Rothschild will have salted all their physical assets away in Switzerland. paintings. land and gold. After the dust settles they will return to their lands hang up the art work and start over again. Its a pattern that repeats. the rich are buying physical stuff. Artwork is selling at ridiculous prices.
hopefully the middle classes and working classes wise up and take control - I personally believe we are shafted yet again. |
|
By:
it's true the world is changing , new Bitcoin poker sites are being launched & agree physical assets are the ones we should be aiming for (but again is too late to buy Gold like 10 years ago - idiots just wanna Trade it still) plus we all still need to pay bills in the meantime , unlike them , or the benefit class of immigrants taking over
