Now there are very few people on the planet who dislike the sultans of swing but this live version performed on the OGWT back in 78 takes the song to a different level...have a listen and see if you agree

Alchemy version is utter class. I learned the album version of SoS on guitar and then tried to learn the Alchemy version.

Just recently made this track my ring tone. Excellent for a live performance, but a guitar teacher I know would slag Knopfler and so many others for left hand thumb use!

I like Sultans of Swing but for me the live version of Telegraph Road can't be beaten. Sensational (the studio version is distinctly average in comparison).
