Hee hee - good morning Zilzal. How are you today? Have you got NUFFIN to say about German-bred racehorses? Sad
Report Velasquez November 6, 2014 10:28 AM GMT
Good morning Flushgordon - it is BALTIC where I am in Glasgow.
Report zilzal1 November 6, 2014 10:33 AM GMT
Flush, get it rite m8 its a Hijab, essential for a prophunter these days to avoid detection or knockbacks......

VELA i am PHUMING.. i have a thing about German stayers but was so exhausted by studying the Breeders Cup(a measly £25 prophet for all the work ffs)that i didnt even look at the race

It must be the better beer that gives them the stamina imo...

Karakontie was leaping out at me, shouting, "Back me, Vel!" but I only had a saver because of the draw.
Report zilzal1 November 6, 2014 10:41 AM GMT
Dont mention that race, had a FROG RFC, sadly it was a VELA/ANODIN oneSad only Six Perfections and Goldikova have won from that wide out over the turf 8f there.. should have really stuck him in a com...but hey ho...
Report Velasquez November 6, 2014 10:46 AM GMT
I bet Obviously and Tom's Tribute - it didn't do Toronado any favours trying to keep up with Obviously...thought I was on the winner turning for home...then ShockedWTF??
Report zilzal1 November 6, 2014 10:55 AM GMT
Hughes knackered both their chances by leading him early, once you saw the 1st split of 21 odd then the writing was on the wall as they were not seemingly trying to ease the pace. Dont know what it is with trainers over here, only 1994 Barathea, trained by Luca, has a uk trained oss won the mile, yet the Frenh excel at it.

Maybe its the french pattern where a lot of them are rested during July/August and therefore geared towards the Autumn, mind you the Hannon one wasnt overraced this year either..just bad tactics imo
Report Velasquez November 6, 2014 11:02 AM GMT
If Hughes had done his usual dawdling at the back, he might have got a lot closer...just thinking...I once did a painting of a BC Mile...might have been Last Tycoon, Palace Music...sold it and bought an old Renault van. Grin
Report zilzal1 November 6, 2014 11:06 AM GMT
Last Tycoon was in that July Cup when boxed in on the rail in a 6 runner event behind Green Desert.

What exotic places did the Van visit...or did it just make Maryhill??  PlainCool
Report Velasquez November 6, 2014 11:09 AM GMT
Painted it Aztec Blue with gloss...made it to Falkirk a few times. That's about as far as I wanted to go. Falkirk is very exotic this time of year. Cool
Report Velasquez November 6, 2014 11:11 AM GMT
Yeah, Andy Murray goes there with Kim Sears, after the tennis season finishes...they play tennis in the street, without a net.
Report zilzal1 November 6, 2014 11:17 AM GMT

If my ship Plain comes in today I will to OOff to ScarbOOrOOugh before you can say "HISPANIOLA!"

I went to Scarborough once.

I had a herb stall flogging parsley, sage rosemary AND thyme.

I gave up after three hours as my plarkotex/cambric shirt was itching like mad, so I went home.
