Hee hee - good morning Zilzal. How are you today? Have you got NUFFIN to say about German-bred racehorses?
![]() |
By:
Good morning Flushgordon - it is BALTIC where I am in Glasgow.
By:
Flush, get it rite m8 its a Hijab, essential for a prophunter these days to avoid detection or knockbacks......
VELA i am PHUMING.. i have a thing about German stayers but was so exhausted by studying the Breeders Cup(a measly £25 prophet for all the work ffs)that i didnt even look at the race It must be the better beer that gives them the stamina imo... |
By:
Karakontie was leaping out at me, shouting, "Back me, Vel!" but I only had a saver because of the draw.
By:
Dont mention that race, had a FROG RFC, sadly it was a VELA/ANODIN one
only Six Perfections and Goldikova have won from that wide out over the turf 8f there.. should have really stuck him in a com...but hey ho... |
By:
I bet Obviously and Tom's Tribute - it didn't do Toronado any favours trying to keep up with Obviously...thought I was on the winner turning for home...then
WTF?? |
By:
Hughes knackered both their chances by leading him early, once you saw the 1st split of 21 odd then the writing was on the wall as they were not seemingly trying to ease the pace. Dont know what it is with trainers over here, only 1994 Barathea, trained by Luca, has a uk trained oss won the mile, yet the Frenh excel at it.
Maybe its the french pattern where a lot of them are rested during July/August and therefore geared towards the Autumn, mind you the Hannon one wasnt overraced this year either..just bad tactics imo |
By:
If Hughes had done his usual dawdling at the back, he might have got a lot closer...just thinking...I once did a painting of a BC Mile...might have been Last Tycoon, Palace Music...sold it and bought an old Renault van.

By:
Last Tycoon was in that July Cup when boxed in on the rail in a 6 runner event behind Green Desert.
What exotic places did the Van visit...or did it just make Maryhill?? ![]() ![]() |
By:
Painted it Aztec Blue with gloss...made it to Falkirk a few times. That's about as far as I wanted to go. Falkirk is very exotic this time of year.

Yeah, Andy Murray goes there with Kim Sears, after the tennis season finishes...they play tennis in the street, without a net.

Havent visited Scotland for 24 years, last being the 90 Skol Cup final when Gough,Walters and Elliot were the scorers.
Mind you im a rite wuss with the cold these days must be the years i spent living on Crete, thinned the blood and all that |

Looks like an ideal Greek or Italian beauty. I've got a print of this on me wall, next to a painting of the mighty Galileo at Ascot. |

By:
FFs - I thought the flat season was over!
Will have a look and post my pick...haven't backed the winner since Abu Kadra. Was working in a van, doing deliveries - had £5 EW that day. |
By:

So...does no-one remember the Hispaniola?
Cap'n Zilzal I have decided to abandon the Greek strategy...and... |
By:
Yep, bailed out of Plutocracy...
1 Point Treasure The Ridge 40s, 1 Point Dashing Star 16s 1.5 Points Aetna 10s 1/4 Point rfc Athlectic/Levitate Go lads.... |
By:
One Pekan and Open Eagle for me...I have abandoned Greece and went for an OO bet instead...OO, that would be an -OO- nice forecast...that was a funny race a few weeks ago when Latenightrequest beat Open Eagle...the owners went mental
...Latenightrequest was the outsider of the field on here when I logged-in, but it was backed...Open Eagle is carrying 3lbs less than he did last year, when he finished third...have also backed Shouranour in the apprentice handicap...far far too many J. Doyles in racing...If my ship comes in today I will to OOff to ScarbOOrOOugh before you can say "HISPANIOLA!" |
By:
I just want you to know, though, Cap'n Zilzal...
If that Greek tricast comes in, you will be hearing from my solicitors... ![]() |
