The farce last night was an insult to the viewers. They must think we're stupid. It was like an episode of hostages, expect the completely ridiculous.

I have no idea who is going to win, and after last night, I just couldn't care less now.

It was a fiasco because while the fine for the skeleton was justified -- Felipe and the whole team knew they were chancing it -- it meant the wrong team won. Sanjay's leadership was a shambles -- even at the end he decides to drive to Stratford despite knowing he won't make it back in time.

Correct.

Also…the belfast sink...

First team bought a decent one i.e. one that could probably have been put in a kitchen.

The second team bought something that could only be used in the garden.

Yes @Jack Hacksaw re sink.

Basically they are going to have to make the rules clearer next year.

You can't allow the skeleton -- it would turn it into a farce as future contestants would be looking for any loopholes to exploit. And let's face it, Felipe knew he was pulling a fast one, as did the rest of the team.

The trouble is it depends on a degree of cooperation from the teams -- they cannot have a ten page specification for each item but need to rely on a degree of common sense, eg the chicken must be edible and not past its sell-bby date and so on.

On the subject of specifications, there is the suspicion that Roisin's diamond might have been of lower quality than the other team's. Even its starting price was lower.

Does Roisin have a stamina problem or is it in my imagination? Over a number of tasks, she has shone in the morning but faded in the afternoon -- making candles, devising the GeoKnow board game, and here buying the diamond. Maybe one of the other women snores and keeps Roisin up all night, or perhaps because they are not her forte, she finds sales and haggling extremely tiring.

She wouldn't be posting on chit chat at just gone midnight.

It is a shame about Felipe's skeleton stunt (supported by Daniel, of course) -- otherwise the team would have had perhaps the best ever record in this task -- 10 items bought and both teams back with an hour or more to spare.

And really it should have been easy -- there were no trick items, because they'd all featured in previous series, and London has more shops than anywhere else in the country and perhaps the world.

Hmm. A flaw in my theory about Roisin being a morning person -- it took her an awfully long time to listen to Bianca telling her they sell diamonds in Hatton Garden, though some of that might have been the edit, since she had made the appointment with the seller.

London/Jewish bias in the items to be purchased.

Wonder why that is?

It is hardly fair on the non-Jewish northerners is it?

'Everyone knows Hatton Garden is the place to buy diamonds'

Well, I'd like to think of myself as fairly well-travelled but I didn't.

Also, it wouldn't take more than few words to properly spec the items.

The skeleton was a subjective call.  They may have got away with it if assembled.

Sugar continues to show his bias against lawyers, accountants and basically anyone that isn't like him.

And Daniel is still there???!!!  Hmmmm.

Look at it as light entertainment, bordering on comedy and that will help.

As a competition it's the supremest of bo11ocks

Doubt Daniel can win it but if he does I doubt they will rename it the Jewish Apprentice Jack, he is basically still there because as you say there are loads of stereotypes Sugar dislikes & though Daniel is a total d!ckhead he is not in any of those categories.

Diamondgate -- according to someone on DS who claims to know the guy, it was the BBC cameras what done it. The dealer negotiated a good deal for Roisin in order to get his mug on telly.

And tbh it looked like the sink guy was the same -- kept grinning at the cameras.

Premium puddings this week so make or break for Roisin whose business plan is somehow connected with food.

In the final a couple of years ago, the teams had to make and sell chocolates. Lord Sugar said he did not care that the winner's chocs were inedible as the recipe could be changed later and it was the business plan that mattered.

There is a mild spoiler in next week's schedules -- there are two special programmes and the next one is called The Final XXX -- so simple arithmetic tells us how many will be fired in this week's task.

Mainly because most of the series (except for choosing the winner) is pre-recorded, but entering into the spirit of the question ...

In order to win, Roisin needs to answer the question why, if she really does have any entrepreneurial spirit, she has made it to her mid-30s without ever starting her own business. So I'd not be taking any short prices about her.
